But in all seriousness, while I appreciate subtlety, this almost feels too subtle. I understand if you want to wait a few posts before unwrapping the Christmas presents just yet, but maybe you could give some of the more visible members of the cast a GM-sanctioned emergency response crew, such as police for everyone lounging in the middle of the city, and perhaps coast guard addressing those in or near the water. In addition to giving them someone to react to, it'll also provide names and faces that need protecting when crap hits the fan.

I figured that there not being any emergency response teams running around was part of the other-ness the city's supposed to have. If you guys want to add something like that though, I can edit my post.

Yeah. No police or civil defense force out there to react.

Alright, I'll add some minor emergency crews to my next post. Nothing like the military or anything, but some really basic civilian law enforcement and such.

The next post is when stuff will probably start to happen, anyway. Stuff that your average schmo in blue isn't really equipped to deal with.
