I'd vote to pull that, relies on the caption to get the trope across.

I would say it does a good job of demonstrating what kind of works the trope applies to. It's not a great image, but it does aid understanding of the trope. It would work just as well with the trope name as a caption, which to me suggests that it's not the caption that does the entire lifting.
