Well, that's unexpected. I thought they would've gone for a J-pop idol group considering how popular they are. Though, I think Babymetal is a bit more known to non-Japanese. Not by much though.

I'm still working on Roaring Aircraft. I think I've perfected the nature of the cape bypass secret, but it's going to be hard to make the rest of the normal part adequately.

I have delved into the ancient two-months-ago past of this thread to uncover some levels I haven't played yet.

Stars on the way.

Watched Markiplier take weeks to do one Expert run.

It was painful to watch. xp I was able to beat those runs several times in one night when they still had Super Expert courses in them. He just stubbornly refused to skip so many levels that it would have benefited him to skip.

Haven't done any Super Expert courses though because I value my sanity. tongue And I'm too into Hyrule Warriors Legends now.

So I'm scanning amiibo into the game to get the costumes, and I noticed the Roy amiibo doesn't work with the game.

Seems a bit odd. I wonder if Corrin, Cloud and Bayo's amiibo will act the same.

How teasing. Putting them in Mario Maker but not Smash...tongue

I went and made a new stage using a type of puzzle I've wanted to do for a long time.

I just made a bunch of progress on my next upcoming level. Basically all that's left is to playtest it a bunch of times and see if it needs any smoothing out.

[up] Great concept and execution, but that level obliterated me. :S

Shame you didn't complete it. Once you complete the level's main cycle you get a fun sequence.

I decided to update Robin's Painful Adventure to fix a nasty glitch that was occuring for a lot of people (A necessary mushroom would somehow get stuck inside some Munchers occasionally).

If you never tried the original, or even if you did, please give it a try.

Man, I havent tried to finish my stages in ages. But I'm busy with TP:HD right now. tongue

But I might as well shamelessly plug my own few stages here:

  • 8C36-0000-0081-9067 - My first uploaded level is still up? Neat. Attempted to make getting the Mega Mushroom sort of a challenge and reward the player with access to more coins than necessary.
  • D261-0000-0084-09F8 - First joke level. "YOU'RE SQUID NOW! YOU'RE A KID NOW! YER A SKWEED YER A KEED YER A SKWEED YER A KEED-" times too many
  • C50C-0000-0089-D972 - Second joke stage. Bad grammar intended. It should be impossible to die.
  • AB55-0000-0089-B999 - The original attempt at an easy boss stage, since those seemed to get stars back then. But then the abysmal clear rate caused me to create my other boss/joke course.
  • A555-0000-0085-5CEB - Trying to make a stage centered around the unique mechanics of the mega mushroom. What do you think?
  • BE71-0000-00FC-A6C6 - I tried my hand at an airship stage. Wanted to really give it more of a feel of being in and on airships than just "is like ground course, except different music"
  • A144-0000-01AB-9973 - Is it a troll course or is it a riddle? Find out! Do note that even if you download it there are zero hidden doors or passages, so how on earth did I clear it?

I should make some new stages sometime.

Calling it now, they're eventually going to Doraemon to the game. The sky's clearly the limit now.

Turned on Mario Maker again.

Star rankings changed! Now how can I know what are the best levels in the world forever and ever?

Ah, I'm missing so many amiibo. I think I gave up on trying to win anything in Super Expert. I just don't have the heart to die 17 times before I beat a stage.

They really shouldn't have locked content behind something they can't control. 100 Mario Challenge sounds like a good idea but it mostly just serves to upset people who want full collections of Mystery Suits.

I sure said that!

It's nice to see them creating costumes based on non-Japanese products.

That said, I believe that support for this game in terms of actual features is long dead. We'll just be getting costumes from now on, like we have been for a while.

Even my 7-year-old nephew has lost interest in this game, only playing it a bit recently during Memorial Day weekend since something on You Tube reminded him of it.
