I loved Iron Man: AA, at least 1th season. Second ranged from good to ok.
The only good thing about Avenggers: EMH being replaced by Avengers: meh, is that show wasn't corrupted further by mandates, dropping storylines and making more stories like "Powerless".
Heh.
So with Trigon taking control of them, this actually looks more like the original Teen Titans story where they gathered together to save their brainwashed partners.
Also, Beast-Boy's reaction to Damien having a plan to take down Superman is pretty funny.
I mean, considering who his dad is, we probably shouldn't be that surprised.
One Strip! One Strip!I'm a little disappointed the whole Vs thing was a fakeout, but it's all good.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. How is it a fake out? The Teen Titans are indeed fighting the Justice League, who are controlled by Trigon.
I didn't really suspect (or really want) either team would be brainwashed in fighting each other.
So you wanted the League to be genuinely trying to beat up a team mostly made up of kids?
One Strip! One Strip!Maybe they could want to capture Raven and contain her so she wouldn't cause apocalypse, but Titans would be against it? I pretty sure bigger Let's You and Him Fight plots in comics often went like that.
I don't think that would be a good reason to get into a fight with a bunch of kids though....
The only actual kids there are Damien, maybe Beast Boy, we don't know how old he is, and possibly Blue Beetle, however he is in every incarnation I've seen atleast been high school aged.
All I'm saying is, they're not really kids, and they are risking (according to the justice league) threatening the Earth.
The only thing I have a problem with is that the Robin in the Titans is Damian in this case. Usually, in most stories involving the Teen Titans, Dick is usually the Robin that I'm familiar with.
Have Tim or Damian even been affiliated with the Titans in the comics?
I'm not a comics expert, but IIRC, Tim Drake is part of the Teen Titans in the New 52, and Damian has never been associated with the Titans in the comics.
Pretty sure the interviewees pointed out how Damian didn't really do anything with the Titans in the First Look thing.
Also, a reaction long overdue:
Starfire the leader of the Teen Titans?! Never seen that before.

Dick tried to get Damien to join the Titans briefly right before the new 52 dropped but his general abrasivesness and jerkassery to the arcs Tragic Villain rubbed everyone the wrong way so they denied him membership.

Tim was the Titans Robin all through the 2000's. I think he started in the late 90's, when Nightwing finally started stretching the definition of "teen" too far.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The Teen Titans Robin was revealed to be Dick at one point though. Unless this is the comics we are talking about....
He's talking about the comics.
I figured. I am not very familiar with them so I will opt out
Just saw the trailer for this one...and good grief, but I find Damien annoying. I freely admit that I'm biased; I've always liked Dick Grayson, and I liked Tim Drake too (I was okay with Jason...thought it was an interesting idea when they made him a villain), but I find Damien just completely irritating. Doesn't help that they REALLY seem to be pushing him right now...
Unlike Comics Damian, who eventually got better, Animated Damian has consistently remained a shit character.
My complaint with Animated Damian is that two out of three movies he doesn't learn a lesson. Also, he's a dick to mah boi dick.
Not entirely true. By the time Batman: Bad Blood takes place, Damien adapted Bruce's no-killing policy.
Doesn't every villain in that movie die?
Yeah, but by accident. When Fang or Blockbuster or whoever that guy was starts falling Damien threw rope after him and tried to pull him up while chanting "Justice, not vengeance". Sadly, there was a giant fan down there, and well...
Still that the creators killed every villain except for Black Mask and Penguin who made cameos does not make me look favorably on them.
like did they have to kill all of them for no reason.
@Sunchet Which is hilarious, I remember when those shows were announced, and people were flipping their shit over art direction all of those shows you mentioned took, because it was so different from what they wanted. Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes and Spectacular Spider-man have been vindicated by how good they were, I still hear complaints about Armored Adventures starring Teen Tony (even though I loved that show when it was on) and Superhero Squad being really juvenile.
However when Ultimate Spider-Mans first Trailer hit everyone was excited for it because of the animation style... of course that didn't reflect the actual content of the show did it? Family Guy style cutaway gags in the middle of actual fight scenes, and really lame jokes.
But, I haven't found anyone... ANYONE, who was happy that Avengers Assemble was replacing Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes.
