God, I just...know that I will love the crap out of this. I did like Akatsuki no Yona.

Ah, I'm so glad this show is back!

I dig the story they seem to be setting up. Not that I didn't love the first season, but this plot looks like it's going to be more engaging than the low-key, episodic drama we got before.

Watched OVA, quality stuff. Kind of a lame ED for it though.

And a love triangle will kill me here. Raji's attendant is so deadpan and there are little sisters. You know you laughed at that preview shot of Obi giving Raji a piggyback ride.

Finished episode 6.

Oh my God, Raj's second appearance was absolutely delightful. I know I'm just gonna love this guy from now on.

Btw, I love Shirayuki's uniform. It's a perfect mix of stylish, professional, and cute.

Watched episode 7 and 8.

Episode 7. Raj is now on my top 5 fave characters list.

Epiosde 8. First half was a very good slice of life goodness. Obi is just so damn fun.

Second half. Ooh, drama! Bloodshed!

Man, this reminds me of Akatsuki no Yona, in that it has a fairly realistic and complex politics, at least for a shoujo manga.

This show really is a standout among the others this season. It's very... I don't know what word I'd use for it. Pure, perhaps? It's the cutest thing, basically.

Pure would be right. It's very healing.

Though I can't help but feel sorry for Obi... I do wonder how they're going to resolve that. Hopefully in a way that leaves him happy, too, and still together with everyone.

"Pure" and "healing" are definitely the right words for this series, though I don't find that it Tastes Like Diabetes. There's enough angst in the backstory, and legitimate drama in the present, to keep it from being all saccharine fluff.

Episode 9

• Wait, so the misunderstanding about Shirayuki being Zen's fiancee hasn't been cleared up yet? Huh.
• Hah, her attempt to distract Obi was hilarious. I love her frustrated, drunken voice.
• I like Obi and his ever increasing screentime.
• Man, Obi's voice switching from playful to suddenly seriously and deadly was awesome.
• Yay, Obi is part of official staff now.

As you can see, I only paid attention to Obi.

I wish the best for Obi.

Raj was on point this episode. Kazuki seems like a creepy kid, what's his deal.

Raji is such a dork.

Raj is awesome. I want to see more of his exploits/growth over whatever it is Zen is doing.

Oh, absolutely. I think he's one of the best characters in the show (and being voiced by Fukuyama Jun doesn't hurt that at all). I wouldn't say Obi or Zen are perfect, but they're pretty decent people even before they meet and get to know Shirayuki. Having someone like Raj, who is a selfish and self-centered princeling, slowly changing for the better - and the slowly is just as important as the change itself! - by meeting Shirayuki really adds to the cast dynamic and makes him a really interesting character.

Watched ep 10.

• You know what, Obi is officially my favorite character in this series. Sorry, Shirayuki.
• I really love Togri. She's both sexy and adorable. -swoons-
• Also, man, the whole idea of adopting the birds to use as communications (apparently pidgeons don't live in that place XP), this series put more thoughts into its fantastic elements than most works.
• Shirayuki jumping off of the tower and Obi's reaction was such a perfect mixture of awesome, cute, and hilarious. XD
• The kiss scene. Oh my.

I love this series.

I've not seen it yet save for a few dub previews, but my love for good episodic storytelling and the sheer strength of the dub is more than enough. It's got the translator that did the dub for Spice and Wolf, what more do you want?
