So which major cartoonist do you think should handle ThunderCats?

Bump.
Do you think Thundercats should be bought by a different channel?
I'm pretty sure Thundercats will return sooner or later; it's too well known an IP and someone will want to exploit it again. It might take a long time, however...
And like I said in another thread, maybe Nickelodeon could buy the rights to the franchise.

Buying a show from another channel has got to be incredibly expensive and first of all the channel has to have some interest in the show to begin with. I don't see Nick being interested in Thunder Cats, it's not their style, TMNT barely fits as it is and Avatar was like a fish out of water.
Forgive me if this sounds stupid but, what do you mean by Avatar was a fish out of water?
Also, do you think Nickelodeon would've treated Thunder Cats 2011 better?

Nickelodeon pulled Korra from their schedule and aired it online- only because it "didn't fit in with their programming" (their own explanation). It's hard to argue with them, given that its online ratings were quite better then its network ratings.
What I'm trying to say is, Nick doesn't seem to consider adventure cartoons part of their bailiwick anymore. Their programming (and the results of their programming) seems to bear this out.
Personally, I don't think Thundercats would've fared any better on Nick. Possibly it could have done better on Disney XD (they're having success with some Marvel adventure properties, and the Star Wars properties, but those have quite a bit of merchandise with 'em as well).
I see.
Do you think we could've seen a Turtles Forever-like special where the old Thundercats met the new? What would've it been like? How would the characters from different eras (both good and bad) interact with each other?
It depends on what you mean by "more vile." I'll admit that, in the original series, his villainy was pretty much limited to bedevilling the Thundercats and trying to capture the Eye of Thundera. If you mean he should be a more general threat rather than a specific one, then I'd agree. He is supposed to be a priest of the Spirits of Evil, after all. One thing to be said for the original series, the villains frequently looked damned terrifying...
