Distinctive or not, the character looks idiotic and has aged horribly. And stag turning into the blob monster was dumb yeah. He was alright up till that point.
Another favorite line of mine is from Lex Luthor: Do you have any idea just how much power I'd have to give up to become president?
Like that line totally exemplifies how badass Lex is.
Which reminds me - what was Lex's motivation for running for president in the comics?
Oh God! Natural light! You know one thing I never got - why was the Question considered insane? I mean, this is a universe with aliens, gods and talking gorillas. And the government is hiding stuff from the public, which the heroes know.
i don't think it was just the fact that he was a conspiracy theorist so much as his odd quirks and neurotic behavior.
I think of it the other way: how obsessive does he have to be for him to be considered a paranoid nut in a world that includes invading aliens, government conspiracies and a supervillain running for president?
Hell, he's considered needlessly paranoid even though he's on a team with Batman.
Seriously though, I think the reason for him being considered insane is that he investigates everything and everyone, no matter how big or small, without necessarily needing a reason. He's often onto something, but most of what he does appears crazy and we only see him have justification for it just the once, and I think the Justice League drew the line at rooting through everybody's trash just because.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Reminder the JLU had the Creeper in their ranks, and yet we never had an episode where they addressed how insane he was.
Which was a complete waste, because why are you bothering to have the Creeper in your lineup crowd shots if you aren't ever going to actually do anything zany with the character?
And we never had a Creeper/Question episode, which would probably have been the animated universe's crowning achievement.

It's the fact he has a Room Full of Crazy and "You went through my trash?" "Don't be ridiculous, I go through everyone's trash." that made people hesitant to work with him. Arbitrary Skepticism argues that in a comic book world the craziest claims should be considered, but it doesn't preclude someone who regularly manufactures crazy claims that are typically unproven. The only reason The Question is on the League is because his paranoia and methodical research IS proven right from time to time.
Which should mean people should be more willing to believe him.
Joker does slap Harley in "Mad Love", BTW. At 10:56 in this video.
To be fair, the only thing he did to reach out to the others (that weren't Huntress) when investigating Cadmus was to go up to Superman and - without bringing up anything else he's uncovered - say "in an alternate universe, you turned evil. Maybe you're doing it here." in about as accusatory a way as a noir detective can, and (iirc) rant about armageddon. While looking like he hadn't slept for days, because he hadn't.
Superman thinking he's too stressed and getting a little unstable is probably a step up from the more obvious reaction of getting offended.
Then he went off to murder Luthor without telling anybody.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. But there is a process to it all. If Question is only correct 10% of the time, then they waste a lot of time and energy investigating bad leads "Aha... I was right... there is a 32nd flavor of ice cream". But questioning... The Question... forces him to find concrete proof of the important things, not investigating the sinister purpose of aglets.
Not really on-topic, but there is going to be a new Batman movie (Bad Blood - probably nothing to do with Taylor Swift).
Yvonne Strahovski (aka Miranda Lawson in Mass Effect) will voice Batwoman.
Maybe we should have one thread for all of the DC animated movies.

Wrong thread, dude. Young Justice isn't part of the DCAU.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Oh, that's rather confusing. I know they're different timelines but I thought they were still considered the same.
Nope. Young Justice is its own thing.

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon. Thanks anyway, will move.
For the record, the DCAU consists of:
- Batman the Animated Series / The New Batman Adventures
- Superman the Animated Series
- Batman Beyond
- Zeta Project
- Static Shock
- Justice League and Justice League Unlimited
- Various assorted tie-in comic books
None of the other animated DC shows are canon to it. There is a new DC animated universe of different direct-to-video movies, though.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon. What is Young Justice in continuity with?
Aside from the the four Batman Movies:
Mask of Phantasm
Subzero
Return of the Joker
Mystery of the Batwoman.

I don't remember that fourth one. :S
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue."What is Young Justice in continuity with?"
Unofficially, the DC Comics Showcase: Green Arrow short. Same character designs and IIRC the same voice cast.
And yeah, the character-of-the-week looks weird
That's because the Metamorpho characters were drawn in the style of their creator, Ramona Fradon, who had a very distinctive artstyle.
