Site running slow for anyone else?

Over the past few days, this site has been slower than I've ever seen. I’m not even talking “ten seconds to load a picture” slow. When I was browsing the wiki itself, it would take thirty seconds or more to realize that I was trying to scroll down a page. It’s more like a video game lagging than slow Internet. The forums aren't so bad, but when I go to the actual wiki, everything slows to a crawl.

I had to type this post out in Word because when I tried to type it into the text box, it took upwards of three minutes to register a single letter being deleted. I literally had to force-quit my browser because it didn’t realize I was trying to close the window.

Sometimes I get a message telling me a script on the page isn’t working properly, but if I tell it to stop the script, the message just comes right back before I can do anything. If I tell it to continue the script, it gets even slower.

And no, it’s not my Internet. Every other website works fine. It’s just this one that’s giving me trouble. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me?

Have you tried a different browser? That has happened for me, and then it was Flash that acted up, either from ads or stuff I've had active in other tabs; forgot exactly what it was.

Looks like it was the ads. I turned on Adblocker for this site and that fixed the problem immediately.
