Erstwhile

For those who don't know it yet: Erstwhile is a series of short comics of European fairytales.

The latest tale is "Mother Holle" ... I know how it ends, of course, but I'm really curious on how they draw it and flesh the main characters out.

Did the girl really use a drop spindle? As always, the debate in the comments is fascinating. I didn't even know what a drop spindle was before reading that.
