Oh yeah, they probably do.
... MOAR DAKKA!
Probably more like "MORE HAKKA", in regard to swords .
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.Soul Spear Barrage in Dark Souls 2 definetely needed MOAR DAKKA in it though.
Some tidbits about what parts of DS uno and dos they're lifting into III, II's quick-travel system and new-game+ setup are returning and they're tweaking the weapon durability to some place inbetween I's and II's.
I wonder if they'll refine the fast-travel system a bit. Dark Souls II's linear structure and overabundance of bonfires didn't exactly make for the best gameplay. Sure, in Bloodborne the system wasn't much different, only that you had to return to the Hunter's Dream in order to fast-travel elsewhere. But I think it would make more sense to set a number of landmark bonfires, similar to the archstones in Demon's Souls, that can be used as travel points, and in between there would be small fires that are simply resting places, like the first Dark Souls did.

Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. How about a variant of the Homeward Bone that warps you back to the previous fast travel enabled location?
This way you can't fast travel all over the place too easily, but it lets you retreat from an area if it seems like too much for the moment.
Warhammer 40K Souls.
IN the grim dark future there is only death, and war, but mostly death.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.I personally liked Bloodborne's travel system a lot. It didn't bother me all that much that you had to return to the Dream every time, but it would have been a bit more streamlined not to.
What I really liked in Bloodborne was that each area only had one or two lanterns, and the level design just kept allowing you to open up shortcuts and other paths. I find that far preferable to just having many checkpoints to warp to, and would like to see that kind of setup return. Or, like said, having a few 'landmark' checkpoints with lesser ones scattered inbetween would be fine too.
Hell, just bring back the whole level design approach from Bloodborne, with its many shortcuts and different routes to take. For me, it was perfect.

New info: Mana is back and recovers via blue-colored 'Ash Flasks'.◊ Battle Arts appear to use Mana as well. At least one catalyst battle art will involve being able to cast with Hyper Armor, presumably at extra MP cost.
There is also a Network Test coming for the PS 4 and X Box One. I think it's only for Japan, however.
And release date is MARCH 24TH, 2016. For Japan. No word for us, as usual, but if Dark Souls 2 is any indicator we might get it before then!

Looks like what we get really is Demon's Souls II under a different name.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.that screenshot even looks like demon's souls, just modernized a little.

I thought we all agreed that Demon Souls II was Dark Souls?

Meh, not really. Dark Souls has a vastly different atmosphere, and while of course we haven't seen too much of Dark Souls III yet, what had been there actually did look a lot more akin to Demon's than Dark Souls, stylistically.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.Demon's Souls was more like low fantasy meets cosmic horror.
Dark Souls is a lot more high fantasy what with god-kings, giants, dragons ruling the ancient world, etc. the armor and weapon designs are also a lot more fantastical compared to the more realistic and subdued stuff from demon's souls.
I know when I think realistic and subdued, the Dragon Bone Smasher comes straight to my mind.
Yesh, but the Dragon Bone Smasher was essentially treated by the game as a Lethal Joke Item; everything from the item description to Scirvir the Wanderer's amused comments upon inspection was ridiculing the weapon's nonsensical nature.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.I wouldn't mind dialing things back towards Demon's Souls. I loved our Chicken Wing from DS 2, don't get me wrong, but I liked how sensible most of the equipment was. I have no doubt we'll get our fair share of crazy items, however.
As long as gender-specific armor doesn't return, I'm good.
I'm on board with some Demon's Soulsness coming back. I still don't think they've topped the Tower of Latria for sheer oppressive atmosphere.
Unfortunately, I was wrong... We're getting the game April 16th, 2016. Nearly a month later... But all systems together.
Mage gameplay, although it's in Japanese.
Some gameplay of a knight character and a cleric.
And here's the ENGLISH NETWORK TEST signup page! It's not open yet, but will be on the 18th.

I like the blue estus flask. Surprised they didn't come up with this much earlier, it's so obvious, after all. What I do not like is the spear backstab animations. On the one hand, it's good to see the more immediate system from the first Dark Souls return, but I really miss the brutal spear/lance backstabs from the sequel, where you'd lift impaled enemies up and then slam them down.

Looks like Miyazaki just couldn't do without a Bloodborne shout-out.

I don't know, are we? I'm almost sure those things could broadly apply to Warhammer 40,000 as well :P
