Overall, Typhoon Noruda feels like a short story
. It doesn't quite live up to expectations, given that it's quite short, but beyond that, it is satisfactory in presenting a somewhat coherent narrative.

Given that there was a plethora of news regarding the film and the director's experience with Studio Ghibli, I'm surprised there wasn't a thread on this film. It's from Studio Colorido and it looks like a solid mix of school drama and sci-fi (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, anyone?). I also heard has sponsorship from Fuji TV's signature anime block Noitamina, so I'm hoping this film can live up to its potential.
