Armored Warfare

The problem is that the PvE AI is currently glitched. For some reason they've now got perfect accuracy, and can use said perfect accuracy to land shots on your weakpoints the second their turret is facing you, no aim time required. Makes it borderline impossible to survive being a scout in PvE, unless you've got a crapton of armor (ex the Terminator) or know how to stay invisible.

So now that camo and paint schemes are in the game, I decided to deck out all of my vehicles in paint jobs appropriate for the environments.

No camo though, since I'm busy upgrading my vehicles.

How does one handle facing an MBT that's 2 tiers higher than your tank? Because I just say "Fuck it, I'm triple Ring."

The Chinese Arms Dealer, along with a new map and balance changes are soon to be released.

The tech tree is smaller than the rest though, and as of now only focuses on Chinese MB Ts - everything else will be coming much later.

Common Tank Myths

Some of the mentioned stuff on the page is basic; (ex the M113 APC being named the "Gavin", Soviet tanks being crap due to how the Abrams massacred a bunch of older Soviet monkey-wrench models in Iraq, Soviet auto-loaders eating the arms of their loaders, etc. But other tidbits, such as how modern tanks are often designed with extremely strong glacis plates might be news or come in handy as knowledge.

Worth a read if you're into that sort of nerdy trivia.

Patch 0.13 has been released! Now we get to play around with some Chinese MB Ts. Haven't unlocked any myself yet - unless you're willing to buy a premium tank, you'll need to do enough damage to enemy tanks within less than 150 meters away from another friendly.

Yep. And it's more or less identical, save for the lack of a custom camo job.

Is it just me or has the unlock requirement for the Chinese MBT tree been made more challenging? It now says that dealing 600,000 damage to enemies within 50 meters of a friendly is what's needed. I think Pack Tactics has a larger activation range than that.

On a more visual note, the base now seems more lively now with building upgrades being somewhat animated now. Why is the one truck using its horn so often, though?

Yeah, I noticed that. Guess they figured 150 meters was too reasonable, and now it's a pain in the ass to unlock the Chinese tree.

and cue me dry humping my Pv P teammates with my Chieftain to unlock the Chinese MB Ts.

I wonder how many of us still play AW? Aside the occassional match, the magic has worn off on me because of the credit grind.

And what's up with the "NA is dead" threads on wotlabs?

I'm on hiatus due to a parental temper tantrum. Exactly when the game gives me an idea on how to finish that M1A1 model with missing decals.

As to "NA is dead", it's due to the lack of PvP population on NA, especially in higher tiers. Some more promotion of the game outside Europe would probably help the NA server population, but can the game's current players not be driven to quitting by some of Asia's worst WoT players?

According to the pros, it's not the Asians who are killing AW. An list of AW's cancers in no particular order...

• The idiocy that is Silent Stalker.
• "Skill-based" matchmaking.
• 2 to 5 minute waits for Pv P.
• Pixel hunting on MB Ts.
• Credit farming fatigue.
• Pro-MBT metagame.
• I would say the community, but I haven't been in there in a while.

That's pretty spot on. Save for the Silent Stalker part, that's mostly just exaggerated internet drama.

That, and for some reason the NA community is more or less stuck in a vicious cycle. The lack of low-tier players equals REALLY long wait times for a match, especially at Tiers I and II. Which in turn means any newbies finding the game will quickly lose interest, either because of getting stomped by unevenly balanced matches or the wait times. Which in turn means the community doesn't get the chance to grow.

In my defense, I've been living on Wo T Labs for the past few weeks, several people where complaining that they got banned for complaining and arguing with SS about the game mechanics. And why do you people think that the Asians are ruining AW? I've heard that Wo T SEA/ASIA was infested with bots at one point, but that was around an year and a half ago.

Does the phrase "putang ina mo" ring a bell? Bad ping pales in comparison to a bad player with zero self awareness and a lot of mental projection.

It's official: I'm back andI prefer AW over WoT. I just did a few rounds of Pv P and I'm rather disappointed in the 10 on 10 matches. But the less competition, the better.

But then why are you saying on the Wo T Labs forums that you prefer Wo T instead? Kinda confused here...

At the time, I was pissed that they changed the TD's bonus damage to something that reduces camo loss while sitting still. Then I went back to Wo T and remembered why I left (AW's progression system is better than Wo T's)

BTW, looks like there's a special weekend event with 4x bonus exp for the 1st battles won today. Not sure WHAT event is going on though, the official site doesn't seem to mention anything regarding any events aside from the latest patch release and a replay competition.

I've read his article on what happened with Kojima's name being removed from the latest Metal Gear Solid entry and that Konami was in the right for doing it. And then he started comparing video games to toys and said that such an practice reeks of an inflated ego and it's just abnoral by entertainment standards (his ideas, not mines). After all, when was the last time you saw an CEO's name on an box of LEG Os? I know it's fake, but it had me laughing. Now, I can't wait until next month to enjoy the hate mail of the people who don't know what "parody" means. Seriously, with articles like this◊ you're bound to piss people off, even if you print "parody" at the bottom of the page.

So anyways, it's patch day for me, bored out of my mind, cruising the forum and found the usual MM hatred.

Finally getting some game time in - just in time for the Hot Weekend bonuses.

Is it just me or do the tier 5 and up autocannons feel that their shells travel a lot slower than the starter autocannon vehicles? Of course, figuring how not to get my BMP-2 or BMD-2 get asploded by 125mm fire is probably something I should look into first.
