Alright, you guys can start with 500 gold coins plus your class starting package for buying goodies. Also, we start at level 5, because why not? Feats are in.

Games common also include Shoji and Go.

Language we got Yamato which is the default, as well as Chouji for fantasy China, Hanrou for Fantasy Korea, Southern Isles and Dekkan for the Bear Clan's traditional language.

Damn. Was half-hoping for fantasy Mongols, so I could go all Mongol barbarian. tongue Ah well. Lemme roll up my character.

On second thought, I will regrettably have to drop out. I just haven't played enough 5E (read: any) to know my way around it. However, I will be eagerly spectating. Good luck to the rest of you!

I think I finished all the mechanics and stuff on Mythweavers, I just need to finish the backstory and personality a tiny bit tomorrow.

  • Name: Taura
  • Age: 36
  • Race: Dragon Clan Cursed Human (Minotaur)
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: This was the point where I decided I probably wasn't going to find anything better. (And goddamn safebooru not coming through for me.)
  • Personality: (Rolled parts on sheet) As a pirate, she is inherently a force for chaos and evil, yet lives by a pirate code of honor, leaving her as a tenuously neutral alignment. Used to living beyond the fringes of the world, either in foreign lands and living in the wilds during her mechant days, or hard living at sea as a pirate, she comes off more uncouth than your typical sailor.
  • Class: Barbarian (Totem Warrior)
  • Reason for recruitment: Over the past few years, she developed an unofficial friendship with the Mitsumine by mainly ignoring their ships and focusing on other targets, especially those of the Dragon Clan, and was reasonably well liked/feared at a few ports. Her knowledge of the Dragon Clan, the seas, sailing, trading, ability to speak the languages of the other nations, and unemployed status made her an ideal candidate for the Wolf Eyes.
  • Backstory: On sheet

Gah. I'm torn between filling in party roles and wanting to shoot / stab everything. Kuroko has been updated to Level 5 but further adjustments may be required.

...We need a Knowledge monkey. And probably a healer, unless Ryu would like to take that role.

EDIT: Also, I just realised that rogues don't have much in the way of non-piercing damage options. Hmmm.

Don't change dude, we need a ninja. Ninja, Samurai, sailor, those are required for Japan.

Ryu has Cure Wounds, and with full spell progression that will stay relevant through the campaign. I would prefer a Life Cleric or a Paladin for better health support, but if not we can work with Ryu healing folks.

[up]Sounds reasonable. Hope that works.

[up][up]Oh, no, I'm sticking with the Ninja, because you still need someone to sort out the traps.[nja] I'm just wondering whether to stay with face-stabbing or to go with a more Goemon-ish Rogue (Thief), since I think we have enough DPS.

EDIT: Okay, Kuroko's been reworked (minmaxed?) into a Rogue (Thief) - less of a face-stabber and more of a trap-disabling skill monkey. But he will always be ninja.[nja]

http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=229347 D&D Sheet done, Tvtropes char sheet is still WIP

  • Name: Yamakaze Ougen
  • Age: 19
  • Race: Wolf Clan human
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: http://safebooru.org//images/711/5e3003ad023b127d389e0996d88658fd68e4e2e8.jpg?716798
  • Personality: Ougen is a young man longing to prove himself on a proper battlefield and wash away the stigma of his Ronin heritage. He is a diligent student, loyal to the extreme and honorable dedicated to fulfilling his duties, though he is not without humor and he enjoys poetry and watching the cherry blossoms.
He becomes quite nervous around women, unused to their presence due to having grown up in a obscure dojo without any female students and his mother dying in childbirth. This is entirely flipped over when he gets drunk, after having drunken a little bit too much sake he becomes a confident and charming womanizer, or at least, that is what he seems to think.
  • Class: Fighter/Battle Master
  • Reason for recruitment: Being both a very talented warrior and unwaveringly loyal Ougen was a clear choice as an extension of the Wolf's will.
  • Backstory: Long before Ougen had been born his father, Yamakaze Hibiki, had lost his master and had become a Ronin, a wandering samurai. He wandered about doing whatever he could to earn more money until he was rewarded with becoming a retainer of the clan thanks to his service in the last war against the Tiger Clan when he took the head of an enemy general. After that he created a new dojo for the Yamakaze Kenjutsu, the family sword school.
Ougen's mother was a woman who his father had met and married during his Ronin days, unfortunately she did not survive giving birth to her son during the midst of cherry blossom season. Thus without siblings and few friends Ougens childhood was a little lonely, most of his childhood was spent training under his father in the family dojo. He lost his eye when he was little as he got too close to a smiths forge and the sparks and fire burnt it, incidentally this happened during the forging of what is now his own blade, Mangetsu, and some may say that it has been bonded to him. He won his first duel to first blood when he was 15, defeating the heir to a rival school and since then he has won many more duels, losing only twice.

Hmm hmmm... four character concepts, we got heavy melee and martial focus. All character concepts so far work, will be giving some corrections later. Will accept one character more at least for the party.

I'm working on my actual sheet over at mythweavers, and it should be done soon.

Name: Midori Midori (literally "Green Green")

Race: Toad Clan Human (halfling)

Gender: female

Class: Wild Magic Sorcerer

Age: 24

Appearance: Midori wears her black hair in a tall bun on her head, to make up for her small stature. She has gotten so used to wearing her miko uniform, that she wears it even when travelling— it is the uniform of a typical shrine maiden, fitted to her stature.

Personality: Midori is loud and domineering, but always a good time. She's strained under the yoke of temple life, and is remarkably excited to see more of the world. She loves her large family, is is quite the mothering type. She likes to cook but is actually bad it— don't tell her though, or your food will be even more burnt than usual.

Reason for recruitment: Midori's great uncle, who trained her at the shrine, used to be quite the adventurer, and was famous back in the day. With his recommendation in hand, Midori was able to secure a place in the Wolf Eyes— when she heard about the group, she begged her uncle for weeks before he finally gave in and agreed to her joining.

Background: Midori grew up with an exceedingly large family, and mothered her younger siblings, even when they were in diapers. Despite her constant hovering and calls for caution, she threw personal safety to the wind in the name of adventure, climbing dangerously tall trees and dancing outside during storms. When, at the age of 18, her sorcerous powers manifested at a clan meeting, her family realized that she must be the newest bearer of an ancient curse put upon the Midori family. The only other living Midori with this burden was an old uncle, brother to Midori's grandfather, who ran a temple high in the mountains. So she was sent to live a train with him, until her wild powers were under control, seeing her family only three times a year, since then. Now, after 6 years, she feels ready, and is barely controlling her joy at the opportunity before her.

  • Sheet: Here.
  • Name: Sen 仙
  • Age: 23 or so
  • Race: Unaffiliated human (Human)
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: A young woman of average height and slender build, Sen is unassuming in appearance, with black hair reaching to about her shoulders and dark eyes. Her features are a little sharp, but not unattractive. She tends to wear kimono patterned with autumn leaves or raven feathers, tied with a wide cloth sash of an astutely complimentary color.
  • Personality: Rather subdued and quiet, Sen takes life at her own pace. Naturally well-suited to life as a hermit, she finds beauty in the smallest things and is perfectly capable of spending an afternoon watching a stream trickle over well-worn rocks or arranging pebbles along a windowsill. She doesn't mind interacting with others at all, though her years of living alone have left her a little disconnected from what might be considered polite society. Despite her strange mannerisms, she is meticulous and fastidious, following her own path and that of her patron even when the tenets of that path are unclear to others.
  • Class: Warlock (Pact of the Blade)
  • Reason for recruitment: After the deaths of Hiroshi's parents and Takashi's refusal to take up his brother's mantle, many youkai living in the Wolf Clan lands distanced themselves from the Mitsumine, fearing reprisals from the powerful Tiger Clan now that their historical enemies were crippled. As Hiroshi began his push to reclaim his rightful seat at the head of the Mitsumine, some youkai, eager to see if the young man lived up to the promise of his mother and father, sent emissaries to treat once again with the Wolves of the Mountains. Sen is one such emissary, the student of an enigmatic mountain youkai. An accomplished tactician and warrior despite her oddities, Sen is a gift from her lord to the Mitsumine - a tacit approval of Hiroshi's claim, and a fine blade with which to achieve it.
  • Backstory: From a very young age, Sen, as a member of a retainer family to the Mitsumine, was sent to a temple in the mountains to be trained in the arts of swordplay and mysticism practiced by the clan's protectors. Moderately successful in these studies, Sen was no standout - unlikely to make the cut to eventually guard the clan head himself, but too talented to waste her talents as a mere scribe or lady-in-waiting. Fortunately or unfortunately, the choice was made for her at the age of eight, when while wandering in the woods, she was spirited away to the realm of a powerful raven god known as Mori-no-Kami. At first indifferent to the young intruder, the lord of the realm took an interest in her when she showed no fear of him, merely curiosity, and he soon took her under his wing, giving her a new name to suit her new life. Mori-no-Kami raised his new protege on tales of historical battles and the study of warfare, sharing with her rare scrolls and books of knowledge from the great warrior scholars of Yamato, Chouji and Hanrou. Being closely taught by her eccentric and sometimes capricious master made Sen much the same, but for the knowledge he shared and the life he gave her, she'll do anything for him - including serving in the Wolf's Eyes.

Alrighty then! Now we have quite a nice cast... let me go over everyone and check them up.

Taco: Ah, do take away the Kikuchiyo name, it seems like I confused you Taco XD That's not the name of a Japanese kind of golem, but rather a character from Samurai 7. We may also need to work on the backstory as I don't know exactly how a Paladin makes a sentient suit of armor. Additionally, the Bard college you will need to describe better... if it's an institution on a fully human city then we got some problems as a living suit of armor is the kind of thing that would scare people a lot and give rise to some problems. Aside from that, it seems good!

Kuroko: Perfectly fit, lets see if we can improve this orphan's outlook in life or if instead the world is as bleak as he sees it.

Taura: Good, though there is a problem in that you can't use a shield with your main weapon Nman, Greataxe is two handed. Will wait a bit more for personality and such, though within the sheet I saw part of it.

Ougen: Need to know his personality and story.

Midori: Need to see her sheet but seems good so far!

Sen: Approved, need to see written the backstory, but we've talked of it and seems like it will be fine!

Daydre if you are still around feel free to PM me for help.
