The King is dead, Long Live his Legacy
"So they want to kill my men? Well two can play at that game."I know this sounds cruel... to some of us... but I was legitimately surprised to see him live that long. He died at the right age.
My angry rant blog!Well, there are plenty of famous entertainers who are still alive who you don't think about, because they are quietly living out their life into old age and we don't hear about them until they die. B.B. King, however, was active and had a visible presence well into his 80s (I still associate him with a diabetes-related commercial I saw a lot when I was younger), so it's easy to perceive him as having lived longer.
Still, I glad he able to live a long and full life. R.I.P.
Not only have I listened to B.B. King for the past few hours but Chuck Berry and Little Richard too. Gonna appreciate them and their music while they're still alive.
Another legendary musician is now dead. 'Tis a shame, a lot seem to be going these days. I'll commemorate by listening to some classic BB this evening. Maybe I'll do Singin' The Blues in its entirety... That's a great record.
If at first ya don't succeed, try a bit more, then give up or cheat... ;) -Myself Nothing can stop me now! -Piggy by Nine Inch NailsMissed this thread at the time. Admittedly, I haven't listened to any of his music since I lost XM radio a couple years ago.
That's why he wants you to have the money. Not so you can buy 14 Cadillacs but so you can help build up the wastes
Blues legend BB King just passed away today here in Las Vegas. He was 89.

Didn't listen to a lot of his music, for I only knew him from "The Thrill is Gone," but I am well aware of the legacy he had and has left behind. Hope he's in a better place now.
