You actually weren't supposed to button-mash that much in Ecclesia — all the abilities take up stamina to use, which is like MP but regenerates very quickly — but it's still limited, and it pauses for a moment after each attack so you can't just simply chain attacks forever.

That reminds me when I was getting around the system in the game
"Hahaha, button mashing is what makes me win the game, just watch.."
Dies after three screens
"Guess I messed up"

It appears that the Kickstarter's passed 2 million dollars. It's also on the way to a pretty cool stretch goal for Classicvania fans.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.That... Sounds pretty dire.
I have a message from another time...Given how the indie-indie scene is infested with cronyism, I have a hard time seeing that as a bad thing.
Ignore the clickbaity title because that article makes a lot of good points actually.
The tl;dr is that "big indie" Kickstarters that already have lots of money behind them besides the crowdfunds are setting audience expectations for how much a game "should cost" back a bunch, leading to many devs who don't have any additional backing who go to Kickstarter being accused of ripping people off.
The writer of the article worked on some indie game named Elsinore, and she said they when they went to Kickstarter and asked for like $20,000 everyone said she was trying to rip backers off or some shit. Another high profile example I can think of is Skullgirls, where their Indie Go Go got eviscerated by 4chan after they did a cost by cost analysis of everything because people don't get how much games cost.
The Kickstarter with a bit of help from paypal has passed the final Castle Stretch Goal.
We've also got some new Mini goals for smashing the castle so early and Jake Kaufman has been revealed to be a composer for classic mode
We are also peering through the key hole into the basement and we can barely see that if we hit 2,750,000 Iga Promises to make this the biggest castle he's made.
Ah.
Jake Kaufman did like 96% of the Shovel Knight soundtrack.
I have a message from another time...As well as Scurge Hive, and Juka and the Monophonic Menace, and Contra 4, and the remix and extra tracks of Duck Tales Remastered, and the entire Shantae series, and the Mighty series (i.e. Mighty Switch Force etc.),...

@Demongodofchaos2 I've seen a few people make similar comments about Polygon. What's so bad about them? I'm honestly curious.
re: the 2.75M goal: Inverted Castle confirmed.
Took another look at the stretch goal in the basement.. if you view it on a dark BG you can see at the 3 million mark what looks like the top of a Wii U logo....
Oh, that's absolutely what they're going for. Though I'm not so sure how much they'd want for a 3DS and Vita version. That'd be a lot of work.
I hate when people don't get making games is hard.
I once beat the final boss in Aria with my bare hands. It was hard.
We seem to be clearing each mini goal every day.....but we still need the basement key to get to the new stretch goals so...
If every one who uses these site could like, retweet/reblog and follow, we could hit some targets quickly

(First Post Ever!)
So there was a video where the speedrunner responsible for the Symphony world record showed the dev how all the glitches like shield dashing worked and I was curious if that confirms the sort of advanced movement that made Symphony and the Metroid titles so great.

Hey, do you have a link? That sounds interesting. You also reminded me of another video, which I'll post here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqheYYeA4k4
It's a neat interview with IGA/commentary on Sot N. Try checking out at least 10 minutes if you can.
That wouldn't be this video would it?
They should do two different voice tracks: A good one that is the very imbodiment of Superlative Dubbing, and a 90s one that is filled to the brim with awkwardness, overacting and sexy deep voices.
EDIT: Kojima's doing some art for the $100 tier slipcase (I think it's the slipcase). Whether or not her role gets expanded remains to be seen.

I think she's busy with other stuff.
We've obtained the basement key and have enough to pass the first basement stretch goal
We are now awaiting for the updated graphics to see what is left to tackle....
heh, i bet romscout would have never dreamed he'd actually get to meet iga. i've known the guy for a while, watched his runs on AGDQ and such. also not sure iga knew his game was so broken either lol
Seems IGA at least expected it to be pretty broken given how he knew it was basically rushed out the door.
The name sounds too close to Bloodborne as is, so it's it very good on that alone IMO. If it wasn't for the pedigree attached I'd assume this was like the Asylum/Video Birneque Mockbuster version if Bloodborne IMO (do they even have video game Mockbusters now that I think of it)
Some other guy mentioned GG Xrd, so I'm guessing this is also gonna do the whole 3D as 2D thing? Cause IMO I'm not into fighting games at all but GG Xrd looks incredible.
