Opened. I fixed the link to the work; it needed to be namespaced to Manga/. Not where I can look at the suggestions right now, but the graininess of the current bugs me...are they all like that?
Sorry about the namespace, I didn't catch that until after I'd posted and saw the title went to Main.
As to graininess, I'm not sure. The Crunchyroll pic is from a recently started anime so it's pretty clear to me. I might call the volume cover pic grainy, but I don't know if that's due to actual graininess or just a quirk of the covers' artstyle.
I think either suggestion works well.
Check out my fanfiction!Of the two I think I'm personally partial to #1. Since it's a manga my first instinct is the manga pic but I think the anime one is a little better.
I like the first suggestion, too.
Same here. The Anime pic looks much cleaner than the Manga cover.
Honestly, the manga cover loses most of it's graininess once it's wiki-sized and it actually looks pretty good.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. Dick
That's fine, sure.
It's also a bit misleading though, since the "love story" is about the girl and that guy in the background, and not the girl and the Bishōnen, as that cover seem to imply.
I thought that was what the image was showing.
Check out my fanfiction!I thought it was misleading, too.
No "too", then. I thought was showing what it's supposed to be showing.
Check out my fanfiction!Given all that, I'm more inclined toward the anime-version of the picture since it has Takeo & Rinko looking at one another (showing who the love story is about) and features Suna in the background, showing he's also important (enough so to be included in promotional art)
I'm also in favor of the anime picture, as it's a little less misleading about which characters are dating. The manga cover can easily mislead new people into thinking Yamato and Suna are the ones in love with each other, with local big guy Takeo being the third wheel.
So it looks like the consensus is the Crunchyroll/anime picture? Do we need to do a crowner to make it official?
Well, there doesn't seem to be any real objections against the Anime pic (the only argument that exist is that the manga cover is just as good), so I think we have enough consensus.
Go for it.
If no one beats me to it I'll get it uploaded this evening when I get home from work.
Alright. Image is up and tagged.
Looks good, although it can probably come down to 300 px or so and not hurt it.
Locking up.
Never done an IP thread before, so my apologizes if I miss some detail or step in procedure. I think I have everything covered, though.
I'm making this thread in relation to the work My Love Story!!. The image used is the Japanese cover of the sixth manga volume. Not a big deal to me, in and of itself, but the issue lies in that the manga is titled My Love Story!! but the picture doesn't even show the main couple. The pic shows us the two male leads, Takeo & Suna, but they aren't the series couple which, along with not illustrating, may be misleading as to who the love story is about.
I was wondering what kind of picture would be appropriate in this case. Ideally, given my main issue, the preference would be one with the two romantic leads, Takeo & Rinko. The third character, Suna, is a major character so including him along with the other two is fine.
Doing a quick image search, and given other past works, I came across at least two options:
