Everyone Is Jesus in Purgatory is a trope that's suppose to be about people finding religious symbolism in a work which was likely unintentional. However, the current image just shows an example of people trying to find a deeper meaning in the scenery that represents the characters emotions, when the author just intended for it to be scenary. While it illustrates the "finding a deeper meaning while there is none" part, it doesn't illustrate the "finding deeper religious meaning where there wasn't any" part.

I noticed that a lot people tend to confuse this trope with Epileptic Trees, and I can't help by feel like the current page image might have something to do with that. For that reason, I feel that, even if we can't find a better image, it should at least be pulled so there isn't anymore possible confusion between the two.

Previous thread. The current description and examples do point toward a religious interpretation of the trope, but it's really just "the audience sees deeper meaning in a work than the author intended", regardless of whether or not it's metaphysical. The pic is actually more accurate than the description, and thus doesn't need to be changed.

This might be a case for TRS; it's good as is from an IP perspective. Declining to open.
