"Probably, yeah, considering it didn't have space travel capability." Emily said around a mouthful of food. She swallowed, then continued. "Of course, it'd still be a pretty tough fight, assuming you didn't just bugger off into space. Bullets hurt."
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor Hebert"Oh, an air superiority fighter? Jesus. I think... I think they have a starfighter reproduction of that, but a vintage F-15 probably wouldn't be an issue to shoot down at all, yeah," concurred Adrian.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp.""They were top of the line when they were made, but were later replaced by the F22," Silas noted scrolling through more of the designs recorded on his tablet.
Gil chuckled.
"It's funny how you people think of this F-15 as being ancient. When that craft was cutting edge I was considered ancient."
GIVE ME YOUR FACE"Well Old Man. You're practically a fossil by my time then," Silas smiled, "Year 2481."
Emily hmmed. "Say, Gilgamesh. I recall hearing of an ancient epic from Earth called "Enkidu and Gilgamesh". This is a bit of a silly question... But are you the same Gilgamesh as from the story?"
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor Hebert"Whoever told you that was the title was an ignorant mongrel. It's called The Epic of Gilgamesh. But yes, that's my biography. It's a pretty good read."
GIVE ME YOUR FACE"Actually, I also recall the Enkidu part...Are you just trying to hog the glory all to yourself?"
Seth raises an eyebrow at Gilgamesh.
"Do you also know anything about big bridges? Or undeath...or was it next death...Exdeath?"
Gilgamesh furrowed his brows. He looked solemnly off into space, gingerly taking his glass of wine and stirring it under his nose.
"Enkidu was a dear friend of mine. We shared many glories together..."
He takes a sip.
"That doesn't mean he gets top billing."
"And what's this talk of bridges and the undead? Are you going mad?"

GIVE ME YOUR FACESilas raised a eyebrow, "Bridges of death? Undead? Am I hear that stuff right? We ain't got anything like that. The fanciest stuff we got are cybernetically augmented humans and even then that's not too special," he turned around and showed a spot that looked like scarring on the back of his neck, a strange hexagon like plate was on there.
"I got this transmitter on the base of my neck and spine so I can control my Jetpack."
Marcia quietly listened to the others talk. While she had nothing to add, she found that Gilgamesh amused her the most. Also, she wonders if there was an F-15 had a Mecha Phantom Beast based on it.
"I never understood you human's obessession with technology..."
He puts his glass of wine down and pushes it away from him.
"This stuff is disgusting. If this is the best stuff they have then I have some very serious concerns."
GIVE ME YOUR FACE"Technology," began Adrian, "is one of two things that seperate us from the beasts. If you think about it we're woeful in a survival situation. No claws. No poisons. We aren't very strong, and we can't go very fast."
"The two advantages we have, are a brain complex enough to put together tools, and an ungodly level of endurance. Before civilization humans hunted by running for hours on end, until their prey got tired sprinting away from us and we could take them down easily."
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp.""If you ask me humans aren't too far from the beasts they hunt. The only difference I see is that humans now hunt other humans."
GIVE ME YOUR FACE"Well, if it wasn't for our big old brains, we wouldn't have gotten so far that we become the only acceptable challenge for each other, huh?"
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Marcia listened to the conversation between the two and peeked at her potions for a brief moment. She silently wondered when the food was coming. Oh well. You can't rush perfection, right?
Emily's gut rumbling could be heard across the table. She blushed (which given her species made her glow a bright green). "Sorry! I guess I'm just really hungry."
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor Hebert"Ah it happens," Silas noted, "It happens, I am just happy I am getting real food... say, what's the food like where you guys come from? Mine is all Protein and Nutrient blocks flavored like the real stuff because it's easier to produce and ship out to my tiny end of the Federation."
"Candy and tomatoes and meat and cheese and lotsa tasty stuff!" Said Kirby, suddenly interested in the humans' conversation. "Food everywhere in Dreamland. No one hungry there."
What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?I'm Supposed To Do Things, Aren't I
And as if prompted, the moment the hunger of those assembled became unbearable, what seemed like half of Pastrimi's' staff came out to get everyone their food. The process took about a minute due to the large volume of orders that had to be sorted through, but everyone got their food, fairly fast, too.
"Funny," remarked Adrian towards Emily. "It's almost like you wondered when the food would get here, and then it did. So are you capable of mind control, or can the people here read your mind?"
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp.""I hope it's the former, because that'd be really cool. Though the second one is neat, if kinda creepy. Meh, who cares, let's eat!" Emily immediately begins digging into her food with gusto.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertMarcia immediately had a bite of her sandwich, and attempted to savor it. From the wide grin on her face, she was clearly enjoying it. On her homeworld, the higher leveled monsters had access to the better cuts of meat and the riper fruits before the common lower-leveled monsters. Thankfully, the food had arrived before she had to speak up about that.

Gil is quite preoccupied with his food.
"At least the food makes up for the abysmal wine..."
GIVE ME YOUR FACEJake barely suppressed a small chuckle as he heard Emily's stomach rumbling right before the food arrived.
"Oh man, you should have seen the look on your face!" He jokingly added, eyeing the dishes that finally arrived.
"An F-15? That old thing? It was an aircraft used on Earth...what, dozens of years ago? Any starship could probably take that thing on."
He appeared impressed by the mecha though, and made a mental note to think about adding something like that for the Phoenix MK 2.
