Hooray, it's open! Here's the character that I have so far - I'll fill out the backstory and description stuff later, sorry.
- Character Info: Pertaining your character.
- Name: Chiara Oscura
- Age: 16
- Gender: Female
- Origin: Leidelheim/Northstein
- Race: Mostly human, though Chiara's paternal grandmother is a desert elf.
- Appearance: Chiara is rather slightly built and tall. She has long, curly, dark hair and light brown skin. She also has vitiligo, and so patches of skin on her body and streaks of hair are white. Her eyes are a clear blue. Because of her grandmother's elvishness, her ears are slightly pointed.
- Personality: Chiara is a rather odd duck. She tries to see the most direct and fair solution to a problem, whether that’s charting alliances or fighting a battle. She has trouble reading people, though, and so a great deal of politics can be mystifying to her.
- Bio: Originally from Leidelheim, Chiara was born the child of the heir of a relatively prominent trading family and a mechanical genius. Her parents decided that, for reasons of Building Moral Fiber and learning how to properly fight and use her powers, Chiara would head to Northheim, to a town-fortress built inside a mountain where Chiara's mother had grown up before immigrating to Leidelheim. There, she learned fighting and various tricks from an old former-warrior-turned-healer and general arbiter.
- Magical Girl Info: Pertaining their Magical Girl talents.
- Mark: Chiara's mark sits at the top of her sternum. Currently it is encircled by a symbol that looks slightly like a solar eclipse - a circle with straight and wavy lines coming out.

- Armored Robes [15 pts]
- Environment Protection [10 pts]
- Warrior Skills:

- Magical Disciplines:

- Transportation and Movement:
- Adept Flyer [15 pts]
- Familiar, Companions and Summons:
- Familar [5 pts]
- Chiara's familiar is a quadrupedal (whether it's cat or dog shaped is debatable) being that is about tall enough that the top of its head reaches her knee. Instead of having a normal fur coat, it instead appears to be made out of the night sky, with blue-black 'fur' marked with stars (Incidentally, the amount of stars visible changes depending on the lights around the familiar - in bright daytime, there are handfuls of the brightest stars, but in dark nights many more clusters are visible.)

Exist, pursued by bearDo risen skeletons count as familiars or summons? I'd like to use them as beasts of burden and for other mundane tasks.
GM of AGOG S4: Frontiers RP; Sub-GM of TABA, SOTR, & UUA RPsHmmm if you have Death magic you can raise skeletons by using it as weak servants and the like. If you want one very badass skeleton warrior that's always with you, you'd get a Summon Battle Companion. If you want a skeletal pet who can turn into a battle useless helper you get a familiar with the humanoid form thing bought.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything. Two questions regarding the Arms of the Acolyte bonus attribute thing:
- If the elemental quality is chosen, does the element have to be... an element, or can it be something out of the Magical Disciplines (say, a staff that can use Bind magic, or a sword that passively Regenerates its wielder)?
- If the Magical Weapon has the Master of Many trait, and is, also, say, an Ice weapon (from the Arms of the Acolyte bonus), are all the tiny weapons it makes also Ice weapons? If so, could they use tiny versions of the magics the big one can?
edited 7th Apr '15 8:05:33 PM by erabel
The punch is mightier than the sword. Except for when it isn't.- It can be something out of Magical Disciplines so long as it makes sense.
- All the inferior copy weapons would have the Elemental Attribute but wouldn't be able to cast tiny magic. So if they were all ice weapons they would all deal a bit extra ice damage but wouldn't be able to cast Ice Magics.
Quick question could I have two weapons and upgrade them at the same time? I am thinking of a sword and a bow. It's impossible to use them at the same time (unless the sword are the arrows). I wouldn't want to spend twice as many points for upgrades.

Forgiveness is beyond justice, faith is superior than hope, redemption is better than perfection and love is greater than them all.You could get the two-forms power in the weapons masteries.
Exist, pursued by bearOh I see , thanks!
Forgiveness is beyond justice, faith is superior than hope, redemption is better than perfection and love is greater than them all.Character Info: Pertaining your character.
Name: Robin Westwood
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Origin: City State of Hercine
Species: Human
Appearance: Average height, average weight. Her features aren't particularly attractive. This includes her eyes and hair both of which are a bland shade of brown without any particular shine or luster. Overall a person would classify her as normal but healthy
Personality: Robin loves her city and the people that surround her and honestly does care about the people hurt in conflicts. That being said she rather resents being looked over by everyone all the time just because she seems so normal, Robin keeps this under wraps when in her normal form but when she transforms it becomes quite apparent.
Bio: Robin is the daughter of a mid-level merchant who is still attempting to hit that big contract and provide the good life for his family. Robin and her sisters have all had a decent education and Robin being the oldest sister has often taken on various part-time and odd jobs in order to help out at home when her father is away and she thought that was all life would ever be. But one day when she was out near the edge of the city she was attacked by a monster and awakened her powers and summarily defeated the beast. Since then she's been training at Whitebolt to hone her powers.

-dramatic music ensues-Do magical girls need to be transformed to use their powers, if those powers aren't tied to the magic clothes or weapons?

- Age: Apparently 16, closer to 25.
- Gender: Female.
- Origin: Northstein.
- Species: Human, but with a bit of giant's blood far back.
- Appearance: Seven foot tall, which stands out most places, but in Northstein with all the giants running about, it's pretty short. Short, dark brown hair, grey eyes, tan skin. Athletic build. Never seen without a pair of leather gloves.
- Personality: Positive, trustworthy, dependable, and loyal to a fault. Earn her respect, and you've got a friend for life; hurt those she cares for, and you're in for a world of hurt. Always looking to help out, she doesn't think that any task within her power to aid in is beneath her. Assumes that people are inherently good and worth hearing out, but savvy enough to know when she's being played.

The punch is mightier than the sword. Except for when it isn't.Nope.
You can use your abilities even without your costume. You do need to have your costume out to receive it's defensive benefits, though. Same with your weapon.
However, what Magical Girl would willingly engage in dashing battle not looking her best? Perhaps if you are going incognito or are taken by surprise, but other than that, other Magical Girls will look down on you!
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.- Character Info:
- Name: Mira Huxian
- Age: Appears to be 17, is actually around 50.(Pretty young for a fox spirit, if you ask me.)
- Species: Fox Spirit
- Gender: Female
- Origin: Chouji
- Appearance: To the right, to the right.... I also doodled what her magic armor/witch armor would look like in the corner. Not useful now, but future reference I guess. About 5'7" with a moderate build and slight muscles. She has neck length golden blonde hair and red eyes. (I probably should have mentioned earlier, but she's a fox spirit. Is that allowed?) And though not visible normally, she has two scars located on her chest and left side. When not transformed, she wears a yellow wrap shirt on top of a loose black long sleeve, white pants, and boots.
- Personality: Loud and outgoing, she's very confident and friendly. Though she may be a little absentminded, she makes up for it with street smarts. She also has a mischievous streak, and will pull (mostly harmless) pranks on people. She never stays in one place too often, preferring to travel to other nations and learn new things. Her youthful demeanor hides the fact that she's lived pretty long.
- Magical Girl Info:
- Mark: Her mark looks like swirling flames. It's located on her diaphragm, right over one of her scars.
- Magical Girl Appearance: Insert explanation of how I'll post a picture when I have time. Anyway, when transformed, Mira has fox ears and a tail that match her hair color. She also gains three red markings under each eye, each one shaped like a circle with a line coming out.
- Stats:
- Physical: 1
- Dexterity: 3
- Mental: 1
- Spiritual: 2
- Perks: Supernatural Reflexes
- Energy: Three cores (Heart of Maiden+ Flower [15]) (Fixed. I hate making mistakes, ugghhhh)
- Magical Weapon: A Qiang (aka a Chinese spear). It's about 5 1/2- 6 feet long. The shaft is deep red, with a horsetail plume near the tip of the same color. Under the plume, the shaft is partially wrapped with metal.
- Initiate Weapon + Flying [10]
- Clothes and Armor: Oops... Look above for description. She has Magical Robes. [5]
- Warrior Skills:
- Knight's Skill + Shield Breaking [10]
- Elemental Masteries:
- Flame Master [30]
- Storm Touched [5]
- Magical Disciplines:
- Mastery of Shapes [15]
- Improved Senses [5]
- Movement Skills:
- Burrowing Speed [5]
If I made a mistake, just tell me and I'll fix it.
I also feel like it's worth mentioning she's bisexual. Don't know if that would come up in the story, but...

off the shitsDamn, knew I forgot something.
Adding a new field to the character sheet, please do add it in as well everyone. It's Species.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.- Character Info:
- Name: Known as Ha'arkeveh amongst the fey, known far less impressively as 'Harkie' to her Magical Girl peers.
- Age: She is in reality somewhere in the age range of 200 (which is young for a fey!) and functionally appears to be a 15 year old.
- Gender: Female. Why did you put this field in?
- Species: Fey
- Origin: A quiet marshland called Arub'eralam in the easternmost reaches of Eluran, so far removed from the patrol grounds of most of Eluran's nations that it is for all intents and purposes an independent territory. Tucked neatly against the great ocean, this mist-choked swamp is home to a quaint and friendly tribe of fey, far more fey than even the typical fey creatures of the rest of Eluran.
- Appearance: Tall and graceful, slight and wispy to an almost supernatural degree, like a strand of gossamer. Her complexion is milky white, with no blemishes marring her facial countenance, which is beautiful in an ephemeral and innocent manner, slight mischief carved into the natural curl of her mouth and the glimmer of her pea green eyes. Her long blonde hair is worn down in cascading tresses, naturally occurring without any form of intervention on her part and usually at least somewhat messy as if she's perpetually in the state of having just gotten out of bed. She is always found in some form of thin veneer dress, floaty and delicate while conveniently avoiding the issue of being see-through. Alternatively, consider the image I based her appearance on.
That said, Harkie is inherently an extremely compassionate and kindly young woman, though her hyperactivity and lack of common sense can sometimes make it seem like she's actively working against the greater good. She feels strong empathy for her peers and can be counted on in a pinch to at least make an effort to be helpful. A trait that can also be taken advantage of rather easily, it must be said. Harkie also does have her exceedingly rare moments of precocious wisdom, where her two plus centuries of knowledge can come in handy, often incidentally rather than through any purposeful intent. She's also amazingly resilient against negativity and doubt, blithe cheerfulness often pulling her through situations where others might well falter. She believes in others, a belief that while sometimes misplaced, other times makes her a stalwart ally and a beacon of youthful light in the darkest of times.
Harkie likes games and socializing, and often battle is the last thing on her mind. She can get fairly stubborn (as all children and childlike peoples are wont) about her refusal to fight, and it's often necessary to guilt or trick her into joining the fray somehow.
Bio: The fey Ha'arkeveh was born as all fey are into a tightly knit clan of cheerful and happy-go-lucky spirits dwelling in a quiet part of the world. The spirits were so remote that they were completely untouched by the calamities that occasionally rocked Seikas, up until the death of Eleisa, a watershed event whose impact upon the spiritual world led to the isolated community first coming into contact with the rest of the continent. Even through token exchanges and formal inclusion into Eluran's protectorate, Arub'eralam and it's people remain largely separate from the affairs of the world.
Harkie was no exception for most of her life, until a month ago, as the powerful Mark manifested upon her one quiet summer's day when she was tending to a beautiful willow overlooking the ocean, one she had always cared for since her days as a babe. A branch of the willow suddenly curled itself neatly into her hand, and before she could respond she was lulled into a great sleep. Here she was pulled into The Dream, one of the first magical girls to actually be manifest into the strange realm. She was at once confused and intrigued by the proliferation of strange faces and features. She learned quickly how to return home, however she has since regularly flitted between Arub'eralam and The Dream, happy to explore this new world while she is quietly prepared for the day that she will need to serve.
- Magical Girl Info:
- Mark: A small and currently vague abstraction of the drooping leaves of a willow tree, three curved lines in total, that wrap themselves neatly over the small curve of her wrist and around the points of the star.
- Magical Girl Appearance: Harkie's appearance and clothing largely doesn't change, at least until one looks closely enough and notices that her veins under her skin become slightly gnarled when transformed, twisting as if a tree is now growing inside her body.
- Stats: Write in your stats and what perks, if any, you have on them.
- Physical: 0
- Dexterity: 2
- Mental: 0
- Spiritual: 5
- Perks:
- Level 3 Perk - Extra Core
- Level 5 Perk - Extra Core
- Energy: 4 Cores
- Heart of the Maiden (5 points)
- Magical Weapon: The gnarled willow branch that originally marked her local entry point to The Dream, which is now inextricably linked to Harkie's spirit.
- Weapon - Initiate Weapon (5 points)
- Clothes and Armor: Harkie, in the month that she has known of The Dream, has befriended Syl, who since made for the young fey enchantress a dress much like those mundane ones she wears in Arub'eralam, but with a decidedly mystical aspect. Harkie is wearing this more often than not.
- Clothes - Puella's Clothes (0 points)
- Warrior Skills: None. She's hardly a martial master, which is understatement.
* Elemental and Spiritual Masteries:- Wind Touched (Level 1 Wind, 5 Points)
- Water Touched (Level 1 Water, 5 Points)
- Earth Touched (Level 1 Earth, 5 Points)
- Song of Nourishment (Level 2 Life, 15 Points)

- Improved Senses (5 Points)
- Scent Tracker (5 Points)
- Transportation and Movement:
- Leaping Movement (5 Points)

♌Wow. Very Doge. Such Free. Much Anonymous.
Also, working on a sheet.
I waded through that post for you, Daltz. For you. No one else could get me to read that much without skimming, with the exception of Motree.
It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought of Doge like that

- Name: Eirika
- Age:
- Real: 63
- Apparent: 14
- Gender: Female
- Origins: The Fey Kingdoms of Eluran
- Species: A minor Sidhe
- Appearance: [1]
- Personality: Eirika, acts quite childishly most of the time, mainly as a tool to cause others to underestimate her. Ambition is her main trait, seeking out more influence, more power, for what purpose, not even she knows... She just knows that at some point she will be faced with a choice, that choice will affect everything she loves, and should she be too weak, those precious to her will be lost. So she jealously hoards and clings to power, in all its forms, preparing for that Choice.
- Bio: Eirika has lived long in the Fey Kingdoms, born as the second daughter of a family of minor Sidhe nobility. She was a pampered child, and superstitious. Once, while at a small fair, she went to the fortune teller's tent and was given what, to her, seemed a true Prophecy, that one day she would face a Choice, and weakness would lead to the ruination of all she loved. The true veracity of the prophecy was sketchy to say the least, and so everyone she told about it laughed at the superstition of a child. Then, she developed her powers as a Magical Girl and became even more assured of the prophecy, even though she stopped telling others of its existence. So she's grown, and still clinging to the prophecy she was given, has hoarded whatever power she could obtain, from small mystical trinkets, to favors from others, to even grasping at the powers of the Fell.

/人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ Will you make a contract with me?Well here's my "probably going to need fixing later on my track record" character sheet!
- Character Info: Introducing Kate!
- Name: Kate (lacks a surname like a lot of commoners in Parn)
- Age: 16, though she looks 12 because half-elves age slower
- Gender: Female
- Origin: A very fertile kingdom of Parn called Rosebud, famed for their quality farming products
- Species: Half-elf
- Appearance: Being a half-elf, Kate has pointy ears. Her skin is slightly tanned, her eyes are blue and her hair is strawberry blonde, tied up into pigtails. Being a commoner, Kate doesn’t wear more than a simple white dress and leather boots.
- Personality: This half-elf is the adventurous sort, looking for the new and exciting. This is especially noticeable with her two favourite things, stories and food. While her thrill-seeking attitude can bring trouble, Kate is at least aware enough to keep others out of trouble and will take note of warned dangers. When not scratching her curious itch, she does show a bit of an inferiority complex, overlooking her talents while focusing on others. But this does not make her forget to help out! It is the polite thing to do...
- Bio:
- Kate was born into a family of half-elven apple farmers, the youngest of three children. While she wasn’t helping her family on the farm, she loved to find new stories, to the point she spent her pocket money on reading lessons so she didn’t need to depend on bards!
- Hidden deep within Kate laid an inferiority complex, he wished that she could have the strength that the rest of her family did on the farm and the people who she took lessons with seemed to be much smarter than her. The girl had a secret wish to have something to be proud off.
- Then two before the RP starts, she found an apple a bit too high to reach and unintentionally floated up to get it. She experimented with her Magical Girl powers, admiring her new costume practising with her crossbow and hovering about. This made Kate focus on Magical Girl stories and then started comparing their feats to them. What she was able to do seemed like nothing and her inferiority complex resurfaced. At the end of that month, she started to wish again, this time it was so she could be more awesome those magical girls!
- This wishing caused a dragon to appear, it was unclear whether it was Kate who summoned her or if the dragon appeared of his own will. Feeling Kate’s wish, he was willing to help her. The dragon told Kate to call him whatever she wanted, and so the partnership between Scales and Kate began!
- Magical Girl Info: Mahou Shoujo Kate!
- Mark: The four star has what appears to be an apple with an arrow in it. It ain’t as bright as the symbols of most magical girls.
- Magical Girl Appearance: Kate loses her simple look. Her dress is replaced with a frilly one that mixes pink and white while her boots are traded for pink dolly shoes. Kate gains white knee length socks, thin and white elbow length gloves and thick and pink fingerless gloves over those pair of gloves.
- Stats: Write in your stats and what perks, if any, you have on them.
- Physical: 0, she is not exactly an amazon
- Dexterity: 4, this girl has got fast eyes, hands and feet!
- Mental: 0, as smart as you’d expect a commoner girl to be, although more literate
- Spiritual: 3, Kate is definitely wise beyond her years
- Perks: Supernatural Reflexes & Extra Core
- Energy: 2 Cores (Heart of the Girl + Extra Core)
- Magical Weapon: A repeating crossbow with pink metal and white wood. It holds an infinite amount of bolts and can reload itself in seconds!
- Initiate Weapon (5 points)
- Arms of the Acolyte (10 points)
- Clothes and Armor: Stylish clothes that are tough as Leather.
- Puella's Clothes (0 points)
- Warrior Skills: Apples and Crossbows, Kate's stealing William Tell's bit...
- Knight's Skill (5 points)
- Elemental and Spiritual Masteries: This is more Scales’ department…
- Magical Disciplines: Look at this Kate!
- Eyes of the World (10 points)
- Transportation and Movement: Kate can fly! ...somewhat
- Hovering Flight (5 points)
- Familiar, Companions and Summons: Here comes Kate’s much more powerful ally, Scales! (65 points)
- Familiar: Scales’ portable form, around the size of a house cat. He looks like a pet dragon you’d find on a few noble’s shoulders, with those itty bitty horns and spines, those bat-wings, grey reptilian eyes and the brown, smooth scales. It's rare to see him without the red bandanna around his neck in this form. Scales is still dangerous in this form as he can manipulate fire on the level of a Flame Blessed Magical Girl (and that can be said for his other forms too).
- Humanoid Form: Takes the form of a lean but muscular human with light skin, grey eyes and short, neat brown hair. Scales usually sticks with a white simplistic shirt and pants with a much more elegant red robe covering them. Scales rarely wears footwear, preferring to walk barefoot.
- Battle Companion: Scales’ travel form, around the size of a horse. His horns and spines have gained noticeable size, though around the riding area the spines have disappeared to make way for the saddle. Like his portable form, the bandanna is a common sight, although in fights or other "messy" situations it disappears. He has the easiest time maneuvering in the air in this form, with speed to match the agility.
- Mount: Well it ain’t called Scales’ travel from for nothing!
- Summon Warrior: Scales’ battle form, a towering dragon that has an appearance that mere appearance can send shivers down one spines, at least as an opponent, otherwise he gives the same vibes as he did when he was small. Don't expect him to wear a red bandanna in this form* , though in a relaxed atmosphere, the accessory makes a reappearance. While the additional muscle mass and scales made him stronger and tougher, it did not help his flying ability making him somewhat clumsy in the air.
- Permanent Incarnation: Scales isn’t going to suck magical energy from Kate, she needs all she can to become stronger!
EDIT 1: Realised Scales cost 65 points, not 75 and fixed Kate's skills to deal with that.
EDIT 2: Changed Kate's mark and traded Adept Flyer for Eyes of the World.
EDIT 3: Changed Kate's mark again made both her parents Half-Elves, taken 1 Strength to add to Dexterity and traded Magical Robes for Knight's Skill.
EDIT 4: Expanded Kate's backstory and gave Scales a red bandanna!

Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree.
For as far back as this world, Seikas, has existed in the cosmos, two great forces have stood on opposition and balance. Battling, struggling for power and dominance, their views in complete opposition that warrants no compromise. Around their struggles life in Seikas has been shaped and the very civilizations now dotting its surface are the product of their fight.
Eleisa, the Bright Lady, The Great Goddess, Sylendil... Known by many names, she represents all that is good in the world. Mother of the Goodly Races, of civilization itself Eleisa preaches for the unity of all, for communion into a greater purpose in life, doing good and living a worthy proud life. All civilized races on the world have Churches and Traditions in her honor, due to her mercy and protection. No matter the distance, they can communicate with the Sacred Tongue, also called the Common Tongue, which the Goddess has taught to all her followers. Gods of all kinds have communed under Eleisa and there are those who say that all Gods are her children just as much as the living.
Then there is Aversa, the Deep Chaos, the Great Enemy, Sharna... a hateful entity and enemy of all living, wielding her power for the sake of destruction and death. Creator of monsters and demons all over the world, the one who cultivates darkness and selfishness in the hearts of all goodly folk, tempting them with their basest most selfish desires as well as the promises of endless power. That there are people who pledge their lives to her and her darkness is full sign that even despite Eleisa's love the civilized races have still a long way to go in order to become the ideal they were meant to embrace. Serving Eleisa are host upon host of demons and horrible abominations all intending to bring Seikas to ruin.
Long ago, the two great beings waged war... Gods against Abominations, cleansing light shining bright against deep shadow. The Great Goddess and her Gods won the battle allowing Eleisa to bring forth her vision for the world... creating humans, elves, giants, dwarves, halflings and many more. She made gentle plains, mighty mountains, deep lush forests and gentle oceans... and upon such a legacy, for centuries, civilization was granted the chance to grow, develop and prosper. However, even vanquished the Fell Queen wouldn't sit idle... from the shadows, the dark wild corners of the world she nourished her own creations... monsters, evil cults and demonic attackers. Great Calamities from time to time... however, to a certain extend, this age was one of little intervention by Eleisa and Aversa. Eleisa traveled the world she created, imparting her wisdom and gospel to all races and bestowed blessings upon the Faithful... while Aversa did likewise, forming cults and bargains... but neither of them fighting in the world with their own Godly might, instead depending on proxies, letting the races, Gods, monsters and Demons fight for their respective causes and form their own path. Their strength was left in reserve... meant to oppose each other... Or at least, that was what was intended.
Alas, the worst calamity struck Seikas but four decades ago. For in truth, Eleisa, so giving and nourishing had spent more of her power than her Great Enemy... nourishing and caring for a whole planet is no easy task and her benevolent nature led her to intervene from time to time for the sake of those she loved most. Such a small imbalance means little on its own... but small things build up and up over time... and eventually, Aversa prepared a plot to finally undo the Bright Lady. It took one particular Priestess on the bountiful country of Paln... One of the mortals most invested with Eleisa's power... one who was bestowed great magic to do a ritual every five years to ward away drought and bring forth bounty to the great land. Slowly... insidiously... and taking near no power, Aversa turned the Priestess to her side. And in the eve of the greatest festival, an occasion of life, of nourishment and the most Sacred Tradition... the Priestess said not the prayers for bounty and renovation... but instead the utmost heresy and darkness. The sacred Priestess became most Unholy... and her power, Eleisa's power went to wicked Aversa.
Upon Paln's fields a war and battle was fought in the blink of an eye... killing so many of those who had come to witness the ritual. Gods and Celestials hurried from all over the world, trying to contain the Fell power of rising Aversa... but so empowered, nobody could stand against her and her demons. That is, until Eleisa herself appeared upon the field to face her nemesis. Her selfless nature would not allow her to hide and bide her time and strength to oppose Aversa on even grounds... not while so many lives, civilization itself stood on the brink of ruin with Aversa to move free. Thus she took the selfish Goddess by surprise... attacking suddenly, with all of her strength and her magic. She drove Aversa away from Paln and then, in her greatest show of Magical Might, she wove the greatest enchantment ever seen on Seikas. Away from her nations and civilization she sealed Aversa... imprisoning her away. Her words were heard by her followers... so long as civilization stands strong, Aversa shall never be free. Then they could feel it... everyone alive the in the world at that moment. One last wave of warmth, of pure love touching their souls before there was... emptiness. Nothingness. The Goddess Eleisa had died for all of them, expended from weaving such a powerful enchantment... and given the death blow by the imprisoned Aversa. While a lot of her vast power remained... her clerics could feel her light and the Sacred magic of Eleisa, they could not feel her presence... such left over magic was basically the corpse of the great Goddess. And indeed, a bit of her lay in all life on the world. That, however, was little comfort for all who had been touched by her love, who mourned her passing fervently.
However... Aversa, though sealed, was still very much alive... and now, more than ever, was her chance to reign supreme as she struggled against the searing bonds of Eleisa. Through the cracks in the spell she wove her magic and her will... she called her demons and prepared for her new struggle for freedom. It happened slowly... as more and more monsters started to breed and multiply on the edge of civilization, more attacks came upont he nations, though these attacks were easily fended off by the might of civilization. Then... however, came the Chaos Apostles.
Seven years after Aversa's sealing a Fell creature bigger than a castle rose from the wilderness... leading a regiment of abominations against Paln. Many villages were destroyed in its wake... two towns utterly ruined before the Paln Empire gathered up its shining army, field after field of valiant knights, soldiers and priests all unleashing their strength into fighting off the Horde... and with the then young High King Avelous dealing the final blow to the great beast, hence called Moranorth, the First Apostle. If only, that had been the end of it...
However, Avelous victory was only a small reprieve... giving only three years of peace before more of the Apostles attacked. All nations on the continent had to fight off, with great loses the attacks... the sheer might of the demons and their Fell power. Things looked grim to the defenders of civilization... that is, until a new hope shone forth. All around the land, a few chosen girls saw upon their bodies appear the Mark of the Magic... a four pointed star anywhere upon their bodies, the size of a coin. Some where born with it... some had it appear suddenly for no reason and some obtained it after an epiphany. However, all who received it were girls and young maidens, in humans none older than twenty years of age or the equivalent in the long lived races. At first this was nothing more than a curiosity, some religious scholars saw it as a good omen... but none suspected the true potential of the Marked until a brave girl in Magstrara rose to face one of the Apostles... and became bathed in power, around her Mark a new pattern appeared as she went, rising up into the air clad in robes which turned away the fell attacks of the beast, wielding a staff with power rivaling that of the greatest archmages. The girl wielded magic powerful enough to scatter the horde and then slew the Chaos Apostle herself. She was the first of a new breed of warriors to face the Darkness... what some believe is the last gift of the Great Goddess Eleisa. Some call them the Chosen, some the Light Apostles, some call them Sacred Maidens... but more than a few people just call them Magical Girls.
All around the continent, Magical Girls started to appear... in little numbers, some regions having no more than one or two at a time and some vast ones definitely more. Most of the time, they were gallant, lovely protectors. Some hid their identity, some were boldly declared local heroes. The girls didn't age unless they wanted to... their bodies didn't follow the usual cycle and even those who wanted to age couldn't mature into full women. Over time some died in battle, some retired somehow giving up the magic of the mark... and then again, some fell into the Darkness... like the Most Unholy, turning away from the light to serve Aversa and the Chaos Apostles. Some merely became chaotic and drunk on their power, causing destruction and selfishly using the power that was meant to protect the world. Their own nations had to turn on these Magical Girls... some being defeated or exiled by their fellow Magical Girls. And then again... sometimes the conflict between nations made Magical Girl fight against Magical Girl. To this day, Paln and Rallis are faced with terrible friction over a war on which Rallis attacked, her own Magical Girl wrecking havoc on Paln forces until a Magical Girl from Paln rose to face her opponent. Paln will forever grudge the attack of Rallis and the destruction the Magical Girl wreaked... however, Rallis bears a great grudge in how it is said that after the Paln Magical Girl defeated Rallis one, she went ahead and killed her without any need, slaying thus one of the great, Sacred idols of the nation.
It is 46 years since the sealing of Aversa and Eleisa's death... 39 years since the rising of Moranorth the First Apostle and his defeat at the hand of once High King Avelous, now Emperor Avelous of Paln. Twenty seven years since the appearance of the first Magical Girl. It is a time of struggles, but also a time of great magic, hope and light. Once Magical Girls all around the world were rarely given the chance to meet given the great distances that separated them... but only a month ago, strange sigils began to appear on monuments and shrines to Eleisa around the globe. Magical Girls may feel drawn towards them.
Upon touching the sigils they may become transported... to a place only Magical Girls can reach. To the Dream... an otherwordly place populated by a few curious individuals, meant to serve the Magical Girls. A place for them to meet and form bonds not previously possible.
Children of Eleisa... will you rise to fight the Darkness?
Welcome (Finally!) to the signup thread for this Fantasy Magical Girls RP! On this game, you all get the chance to play as Magical Girls, fighting the forces of Darkness and rising in power to defend a world beset by evil! Form bonds, strengthen friendships between your fellow magical girls, explore wondrous magical worlds, eat sweets in a patisserie in a magitek city, engage in tactical magical combat against great foes, discover the mysteries of the world... all of this and more you will find within!
Below you will find tons of options to create your custom made Magical Girl, though worry not if you find things you can afford... beating Apostles will net you a variable amount of Star Points to spend on increasing the power of your Magical Girl!
Now, however, first allow me to describe a few of the main nations of the world to give you all a grounded look at the modern world of Seikas, which has a big main continent and a few islands.
Well then! This is about it for setting information. Hmmm only last detail to add is that Magical Girls are greatly powerful, though as seen in the description of the nations, a big enough force or a surprise attack can take them out by their own people if they do evil. Still, roughly combat wise, a single Magical Girl is roughly as strong the combined resources of an entire big city of one of the nations.
Anyway! Below lie the details needed to make your build of Magical Girl.
Congratulations for making it all the way down of this incredibly, unnecessarily lengthy opening post! Now, finally... here is the character sheet to be filled.
And that is it! I look forward to your applications. If you have any questions, doubts, feedback or the like, please do inform me.
