Might want to bring it up in TRS. It's one of those tropes I see misused for anything that could potentially look like an example if you squint and turn your head sideways. Or just sinkholed.

I had considered doing so but this particular topic feels like it would become much more complicated than I can handle as a new troper.

Does This Remind You of Anything? seems like it should be a YMMV, since it relies so heavily on audience perception and interpretation. It doesn't have just one particular meaning but a whole body of interpretations largely dependent on context and who's watching.
