That's a basic issue with the design of that section of the site, which also covers Ask The Tropers and Trope Finder. In order to bump up the most recently replied topic, its 'post date' gets edited. This is obviously not ideal, and it's on the list of issues to address. From the point of view of critical functionality, however, it's a very minor problem.

Dear admins,
As a frequent user of YKTS, I have found a problem: When one replies to a post in YKTS, the date of the opening post is changed to that of the reply, and the post's original date seems irretrievably lost.
Would there be a way to show the original date, with or without the "last reply" one?
And while we're at it, add the long-missing "comic books" category?
