We have release dates!
Dark Moon HD is coming on June 27th, TTYD is coming May 23rd.
The GBC Mario Golf and Tennis games don't have the Transfer Pak support unfortunately (which also rules out that ever being added to Pokemon Stadium, even more unfortunately), but they did pre-unlock the Transfer Pak-related minigames for Tennis GBC at least. Still, I wish they'd make the effort. It's not like Nintendo makes any money from people buying Transfer Paks these days!
Hearing "Tour Ninja Hideaway" in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe two years later brings back memories, since it came out around the same time as Turning Red.
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned. It's kind of weird how Nintendo didn't make the effort considering they took the time to ensure Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble had gyro support so it could be rereleased. Weird priorities there.
Nothing is technically stopping them from implementing Transfer Pak support later, but definitely not a good sign for potential Pokémon releases.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? What's the odds that they're not ABLE to replicate Transfer Pak functionality for their retro stuff?
Low, considering fan-made emulators can do it.
If I had to guess, maybe for some reason they're leery over letting the N64 app have read and write permissions on save files for games on the Game Boy app.
No, that actually does sound logical. One game writing to another game's save data does seem like a good way to get corrupted saves at best and hacked saves at worst.
Read only methods are a lot safer, but by design can only do things in the currently running game, which is why you usually see it used for loading demo save data into the full game (too many examples to count) or extracting data from a previous entry's save data (Tot K's ability to import your Bot W horses, for example).
There's also the still simpler "check for the existence of save data" method, which is usually used for games that reward you for playing the demo, but don't let you carry over the demo save, or for games that reward you for playing related games. Incidentally, the infamous "Psycho Mantis comments on your tastes in games" scene from both versions of MGS 1 uses this method.
Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — UnknownSo much stuff coming out for Switch in the coming weeks!
This week, it's Gylt.
A week later, it's Princess Peach: Showtime!
A week after that, it's Pepper Grinder.
And I've been playing the DLC of Splatoon 3 as well as the main multiplayer (vs and co-op) gameplay.

The thing is, the transfer pak's usage often involves being able to move data between the N64 and Game Boy games you have connected. Pokemon Stadium let you store Pokemon by moving the Pokemon data between the N64 and GB carts, or Mario Tennis similarly lets you move character data between the two versions. It's more involved than simply reading another game's save data to get an Old Save Bonus, its functionality can't be replicated unless it also has write permissions to edit the Game Boy save its connected to. But maybe that's what Nintendo is leery of because it could maybe allow some kind of exploit to hack things.

Me realizing why we might not get WarioWare: Twisted! on the GBA Switch: since it was designed to be tilted along with the GBA system, it might be difficult to do that one boss minigame (where you have to keep a robot balanced by tilting the console to change gravity while it's walking), even if the gyroscope might make it playable. And even if it's in handheld mode, I don't think I like the idea of me shaking my $300 Switch violently, which is partially why I keep mine docked at all times.

If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.I literally keep my Game Boy Micro solely for the purpose of WW:Twisted.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Apparently, the Transfer Pak code is in the NSO emulator and requires a simple on/off switch. I have to wonder if something was tried and it screwed something up when data was transfered.
A little late, but you can no longer transfer 3DS/Wii U funds to the Switch as of 11 pm PDT March 11th.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Not sure why you'd try to, considering you've been unable to buy anything off of their E-Shops for about a year now.
BREAKING: Scaramouche Reportedly Caught Doing the FandangoProbably a feature they forgot to turn off when they initially took down the stores.
"That we continue to persist at all is a testament to our faith in one another."Has anybody preordered the TTYD remake through eshop? Can anybody tell me the full price, in other words, taxes included.
IDK, I'm preordering a physical copy on Amazon, as I always do since 2020.
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.Taxes included would vary depending on your specific location (in the US, that would be decided on a state level).
SoundCloudOh, I guess that explains why they don't show the real price.
So how good are the ports of the Arkham games to Switch? Is there any major bugs in any of them? And for the costumes you got if you preordered them when they first came out, do you get them at the beginning or do you have to do something to unlock them?
I got the ports recently, and Asylum and City work great. I haven't tried Knight's port yet, but, uh, I don't hear great things. Still, it's worth it for the other two. And the games each download as their own applications, so you don't need to keep Knight if you don't want to.

Okay, NOW I preordered it. Guess it takes a while for Amazon to update from Nintendo's "date revealed" to "Amazon preorder available".
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.Has anyone ever had a problem where their Switch doesn't dock properly? Lately, it seems like my console doesn't wanna display on my TV while docked.

What's really funny to me is if Square had to cut down the framerate of the KH Switch ports for some reason to get them to work (but didn't want to I guess) it would have actually fixed a bunch of bugs introduced by the HD versions.
