That could be neat.
You know, it's kinda funny how Nintendo is being so tight lipped about this so everyone's running around, looking at patents and stuff with rampant speculation. It's like when a friend is acting shady so you're keeping track of where they're going in order to figure out what they're up to.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Haptic feedback patent featuring a regular tablet.
Another patent with sensors on four sides of a controller with pulse movement detecting.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I hate Nintendo Life. It always 404s on me whenever someone links to it.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Because URL is too long for TVT forums to handle.
Find the part that adds an extra space 'n dash and delete it. Then it should load.
You know, find a - in the URL.

@Scroll wheel shoulder buttons: That seems like it would be awkward. I tend to use the shoulder buttons as a way to anchor the system in my hand. If they can move it would make that harder.

In more non-news, Spike Chunsoft (Danganronpa, Mystery Dungeon, Zero Escape) mentioned that they're interested in NX and might be implying it's a home console. Nothing concrete, but getting the niche Japanese developers on board is a welcome step.
It has to be both. Tech-wise, the 3DS needs a successor sooner (and also game-wise. 2016 looks anemic for both, but Wii U has more games for next year from Nintendo). The "brother platforms" thing is going to happen.
My question is timeline. I could see them going on the GBA-GC schedule, with NX Go in August 2016 and NX Home in November, or i could see them pushing Wii U through Holiday 16 with Zelda and the rumored Pikmin 4 (we know it exists, just don't know where it's going) and landing NX Go in Q4 '16 and NX Home on March 31st '17 (so they could game the launch revenues to bridge fiscal Q4 and fiscal Q1)
Nintendo has begun distributing software kits for the NX. I'd tell you more but The Wall Street Journal has a douchebag website.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! This is interesting.
Well, yes. That's what people have said. There's been a lot of speculation and educated guesses.
I have a message from another time...At least one mobile unit? What does that mean? Like 3DS and 3DS XL? 3DS and 2DS? 3DS and New 3DS? A dual screen handheld and a tablet? Nothing concrete, but it's very there are lots of cool possibilities.
Also, industry-leading chips. Which could mean tablet level (for the handheld), PS4 level, or beefy PC level. It does at least tell us that it probably won't be two Wii Us duct-taped together.
It'll be two-and-a-half Wii Us duck taped together.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! With a New 3DS XL glued to each Gamepad.
And said Gamepads tied together with shoelaces.
Are they trying to get back third parties?
Will third parties even bother even if the Nx is as powerful as the latest systems?
We'll just have to wait and see I suppose.
One Strip! One Strip! They have Japan. If it's easy to port to they'll get some support from Activision, Ubisoft, and Warner Bros. Coupled with a decent launch of first party games, it should be enough not to be dead on arrival.
The Nintendo Development Portal just opened. This will be a big part of getting third parties on board.
This new website had one goal—to make your lives easier. We’re hard at work making more and better tools to help you self-publish, digitally publish, and publish at retail. Our plans are big, because yours are
We’ll soon have advanced project tracking and ROM submission, project-based message boards and more, helping you with every step—from concept, to publish, to counting your accolades. And as always, you’ll have the best global developer support team ever, right from the start, making the Nintendo Developer Portal your go-to resource.
Looks like they plan to have a lot of help for developers, particularly the indies that will need it. It mentions retail, so that should put to rest any speculation about it being digital only.
Alright. Lets hope other groups bite. If we can get some games that were only Microsoft and Sony developed before on a Nintendo system as well, then the next ten will be the biggest party ever.
One Strip! One Strip! We already have a possible main Final Fantasy (XIV) game in the works if Nintendo agrees to the dev team's conditions.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Been a long time since we had a full on Final Fantasy game I believe (Wow. Not since VI. That's a long time).
I don't want to get my hopes up too much (Wii U seemed like it was courting third parties as well, and had a lot of hype), but I think Nintendo is good at learning from it's errors.
One Strip! One Strip!XIV's conditions (basically allow online play with PC and PS4) are already met with Dragon Quest X. But since Square didn't bring it up themselves, don't expect it to make it over until DQ X/NX is a success.
The Nintendo NX will reportedly be a powerful mobile-console hybrid
Take this with a slightly bigger grain of salt, but a staff user at Nintendo Forums said they have talked with an anonymous senior developer at a major U.S. gaming company and the dev said the NX has one software demo which cannot be run at 60 fps with a current gen Intel CPU and top-of-the-line graphics card because of so many polygons being crunched.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."If it's true, Nintendo decided to give a giant middle finger to everyone who has been complaining about the power of their consoles.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Well, maybe they've been looking for a way to make their systems more powerful without costing too much money.
Of course if it's a match for PS 4 and X Box One when Sony and Microsoft are rolling out the PS5 and XBoxOnePlus it won't matter much, but lets see how things go.
One Strip! One Strip!
Nintendo has filed a patent for a controller with clickable scroll wheels as shoulder buttons.
