Question For European Music Fans

So I have always had a weakness for all things 80s and the music is obviously no exception. I loved me some Synthpop and a few years ago I was looking up different types of electronic music. I found a whole other subgenre of 80s (or late 70s) music I really liked and that is Euro-disco. Started as Italo disco but I had to expand a bit beyond that.

Now you might be wondering what the hell this has to do with anything. Well, one of the artists I have particularly fallen in love with is named Sandra. Only nobody I normally talk to has any clue who she is. If Wikipedia is to be believed, she was mainly big in parts of Europe, the USSR and Japan. This is especially true for her earlier group, Arabesque.

I'm inclined to believe Wiki because I've only been able to find Arabesque albums from Russia and Japan.

But anyway, Sandra definitely eclipsed her old act and is one of the top selling artists in German history.

This seems to be her biggest hit I think.

But this song is actually my favorite. Love her outfit and hair in the video too.

So yes the question. I see all the comments on YT about people who grew up with her and remember her but does anyone here?

I don't remember, and Euro-dance stuff was never my thing.

Italo Disco is fairly cool, but in other places (X Disco) it tends to be a bit corny, imo.
