That doesn't matter. Even if it were a crowner, 7:5 is not consensus. And anyway motions to pull without a crowner should be unanimous or close.
The bar for leaving a page without an image is (rightly IMO) quite high. Wanting an alternative is not asking much.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. How often have you seen a crowner where there's little to no consensus and people say "deehh screw it put the image up"? Because a bad image with no consensus should not be up here.
Keep in mind, this image wasn't chosen via an IP thread; someone just put it up. Had someone actually made a thread and suggested this, it would've sunk and you know it. Someone putting it up on their own does not dismiss it from scrutiny and if it's bad, it deserves to be zapped.
Putting up an image is a lesser action than removing one. So asking for a higher bar for the latter is perfectly reasonable.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe current is definitely better than no image. Decent example of a picture and caption working together to get the idea across. (Although the caption could use tightening.)
Since we've had so much trouble coming up with a replacement, I think I'd be good with tightening the caption somehow and calling this done.
Well then perhaps we could put it to a vote, for Keep Until Better Image Suggested or pull.
Also, if we have a crowner in regards to this, should just adding a better caption be what someone wants, that option should be in the crowner. The option "add a better caption" is insufficient since so far no one's come up with one, and I really don't see how a short and concise caption could explain how a sleeping guy is pretending to be in power but actually isn't.
Clock is set.
Clock's up and we don't have consensus on what to do; locking up.
And at least seven people want to get rid of it. You're outnumbered.
