I've had a rather strange hobby. I really enjoy making trailers for games. Especially fangames and obscure indi games who's developers lack the resources to make promotional material for. Naturally I would love to put a plug or two for my work, I mean the whole point of making these trailers is to help people find these games. Unfortunately, I really don't know where they should go.

I don't normally see fan-made trailers listed in under a game or movie's tropes (I hardly ever see even official trailers for that matter.) And with my general 'show don't tell' philosophy I generally find that none of the advertising tropes fit the bill.

As I said would love to find places to pot-hole my trailers if that's O.K. But I have no idea where I could do so. Or even where to look.

Here is a sample (my latest): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhKOZTcM7pQ&index=28&list=PLSQLREUw9vwmE8HYXkE0uYgR6ur64hjIQ

My opinion, and I speak with no official backing here so take it with a grain of salt, would be to consider them "Fan Works". Ergo, you could list examples under the Fan Works section of a trope page — if there isn't one, then you can add one. I'd only mention things unique to the trailer itself, though, since otherwise it's a bit redundant with the work, e.g. a Gilligan Cut that isn't actually in the game, any music you've put in the background, or an original picture that's in the trailer would all be good fodder for examples.

Plus, if you want, you could always make a work page for your trailers, probably not individually but as a whole.
