I'd be interested to know who painted all of Scrooge's paintings (the in-show explanation; I know most of 'em are based on Barks paintings).
Well, In "Life and Times" Scrooge did run into the Dog version of Theodore Roosevelt, so I like to think that Carl Barks would be a famous dog-person painter (he certainly has the right name for it) in this universe.

So we are getting two episodes in an hour block tomorrow.
The Great Dime Chase: Louie accidentally loses Scrooge's "number-one dime" and turns to Gyro Gearloose to help him get it back. Meanwhile, Dewey and Webby become entangled in a conspiracy.
So which episode is everyone looking forward for the most? "Day Trip" looks really fun, with Beagle Boys, Webby character development, and promises of Angry Dad Mode Donald, but the "Great Dime Chase" seems to be going into the backstory and lore of Scrooge, and even hinting at possible "Life and Times" content, as well developing the relationship between Scrooge and Louie.

I'm pretty sure the second episode is the one where Scrooge tries to impart his wisdom to Louie, so I'm interested to see how that turns out
I wouldn't be surprised if Louie walks out virtually the same. But if I'm being honest, I think the writers are more clever than that.
Bide your time, and Hold out Hope — GANKUTSUOU Just because it's irrational, doesn't mean it's not real. The one involving Huey and the #1 dime seems like it'll be funny.Louie is amazing.
How would you want Scrooge's backstory to be done in DT:17? For me,this is my first time watching anything DT related,so I'm curious.

I'd like flashbacks, maybe a whole episode, but I like the balance of the whole cast, and that's something that would be thrown out the window in an episode like that.
Also, new promo on Disney XD's You Tube channel called "This season on Duck Tales" gives us some interesting insight on Della
- Webby, despite being the avid historian she is, has found nil about her
- Della, whatever happened to her seems to be a bit more complicated than just an awry adventure, at least the trailer lead me to believe that it's very likely there's a whole conspiracy behind it, that extends past the Mc Duck family grief (or that's just my assumption from the rather vauge promo)
sorry I'd link, but it's a bit complicated at the moment

Bide your time, and Hold out Hope — GANKUTSUOU Just because it's irrational, doesn't mean it's not real..... my sling.tv app won't load Disney XD. it WILL load OTHER cable channels not owned by Disney.
Well that was a whole lotta nothin. -_-
I'm loving everything about this series! Every scene just screams Saturday morning!
"We be we baby!"Well thankfully, Sling archived the episode immediately after it aired!
I really miss the friendly, polite Gyro from the first show. This maniac-genius one is entertaining but not the most appealing character ever. At least they're hinting he's going to turn himself into a robot, and you all know what that means. ;)
Also a bit miffed that Louie's focus is to learn from hard work, yet he learned nothing except to be more careful when touching guarded objects. I Hope they revisit that soon. Dewey got more clues as to what happened with Della (the Sword is clearly something Scrooge feels horrible about, enough to hang Della's final letter in his secret library vault!) I also find it hilarious that all this happened during Scrooge's uneventful financial meeting. :D Really, who's Scrooge without his money bin?? Even if, as observed by the accountants, he really has no logical PURPOSE for it to exist!
So anyone else think Della is Magika after that note?
"We be we baby!"I may have spoken too soon: Sling appears only have the first 3 episodes up, and the 4th that just aired isn't up there yet, meaning I'll have to catch that sometime later.
That's a neat detail, Scrooge's Dime is a Seated Liberty dime.
Apparently, there's a practical reason why Donald Nicknames Mrs. Beakley "Mrs. B". Beakley is probably really hard for him to say, and it's easier to call her "Mrs. B" than struggle with her full name. (I wouldn't be surprised if the original scripts had him saying Beakley and Anselmo suggested they change it.)
Donald often has a hard time pronouncing the letters "k" and "L", and will often substitute "k" with a "t" (Okay into Otay). Sometimes he can "Cheat" the letter in by adding an "h" in the middle of the word (oak-hay), but he can't do that here, because of the "L", which would blend into his "y". He would probably pronounce it as something like "Beetyee" or "Beak-hyee," which would be nearly incomprehensible. (Interestingly he also has a hard time pronouncing a hard "G", which means that in shorts with Goofy, he has to say "Doofy".)
This was pointed this out here by a person who can actually do the Donald voice on the Ducktales Reddit.

So interesting!
x4 What note?

In "The Great Dime Chase", Dewey and Webby uncover a hidden room in the back of the library that houses a ton of old relics, one of which is a note framed and hung on the wall saying "Dear Scrooge, Sorry i took the Sword of Silece, Della".
Ah. I still haven't seen the new eps yet. Probably won't until tonight. Guess I'll have to see for myself.

It's not hard evidence, but it does make more questions appear.

"We be we baby!"Whatever this sword was, it definitely played a key part in breaking up a chunk of Scrooge's family, and led to him being more of a shut-in.
Whatever the SoS incident was, it caused Scrooge to hide nearly every trace of his niece, and caused him to buy a post office when a piece of junk mail with her name on it appeared. I would say it's much much worse than we previously thought. I wonder if this has anything to do with "The Traitor" label on Webby's board.
I don't think that this Scrooge McDuck is as insanely cheap as he says he is. And despite what he says about them all being "as mad as loons" and seeking revenge if you fire them (which, to be fair, is probably accurate), I think he keeps all of his money bin employees around because he likes them. And I don't trust those vultures.
That shell book is called "The Life and Times of Della Duck." That's funny.
That Stinger Gyro builds Robot. Robot gains free will. Robot turns on Gyro. Gyro controls robot. Gyro is a robot: Project Blatherskite

I'm pretty sure it's actually the Spear of Selene, which was mentioned in the pilot as well
I'm getting the feeling that nobody actually knows what really happened with Della, or why she did what she did.
Bide your time, and Hold out Hope — GANKUTSUOU Just because it's irrational, doesn't mean it's not real.Caved and saw eps 2 and 3. Daytrip felt a bit weak compared to the first ep, but Dime Chase was fun. Also, throw me into the 'Duella might be Magica' camp. I'd already suspected they might be one and the same, and the note does add some food for thought, but just look at Duella's face and hairstyle. Don't they look just a wee bit familiar to you?
Mrs. Beakley was a spy. Of course she was. Is anyone even surprised?
Beakley and Donald's antagonistic relationship is fun. He was channeling Quack Pack hanging out on his boat grilling while while grilling to really loud music to just annoy her I bet.
