Hello,I'm recked. I am new to these forums, this site, and new to narrative writing. A friend recommended I come here. But I feel like I'm creative enough, I'm here to make sure I don't ruin my story with holes and bad writing. My idea is Darth Vader, and maybe a companies of stormtroopers... this is where I'm hung up. Should I just have Darth Vader or a star destroyers load of storm troopers. The basic scenario involves a unusually powerful ionic blast caused by a large solar from the sun deactivates the vessel Vader is within, Yukari gaps in the space vessel in for entertainment. A vague idea of plot I'd have is Darth Vader crash lands on top Youkai mountain. Then in a battle not done by the spell card rules he defeats, Tenshi and wounds her. Iku, near the loud crash decides to investigate, sees the badly injured Tenshi and fries Vader. Vaders life support systems are fried. He then is taken Eientei to be healed and is also taken out of his suit. (Tenshi, entertained by the duel and curious of the thing that wounded her, also his sword, spares him.) How does that sound? Please any feedback would be nice.

If you are new to writing, I recommend that you read a lot. Start with a tutorial, like this one - it offers help on how to balance dialogue, action and descriptions. Then read some books, to see what "techniques" other writers use. I recommend X-Wing series, because they have great battles; and Admiral Thrawn books, because they show both good and bad sides of the Empire. To practice the actual writing, try something like this: First, write a scene, any scene you have in mind. Then put it somewhere for, let's say, a week. After that, read it again, and see if you can write the same scene better.

As for the actual story - Tenshi with a lightsaber is cool, yeah. Why would Vader want to fight with her, though? And why would she (or Iku) want to heal him afterwards?

Rather than smart, I'd prefer to be wise. It would let me be silly more often.

The great thing about Star Wars is that it's such an expansive and huge universe that you can get away with tucking away practically anything in some backwater of the galaxy. I've crossed Final Fantasy with Star Wars that way.

@The Nobody [up] Fighting is caused by the inability to communicate or being unable to communicate at all. Darth Vader probably wouldn't speak Japanese. Tenshi, being herself would probably fight, Vader if he got attempted leave.
