I like the concept art.
Hopefully Nintendo used those ideas for something else.
Nintendo always saves there concepts for a later date.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureProbably for the better. Unless one of the big-wigs in Nintendo took a personal interest in seeing the game's success, it was probably going to end up becoming one of those mediocre Wii games built around nothing but minigames and simple quests for kids. But then again I don't recall a single big-hit title being made on the other consoles for the franchise either, so I guess Harry Potter was never meant to be successful in the gaming arena.
^Third person adventure game and game based on quiddith for pre wii consoles translates as minigame collection for you?
I'm not sure why you think Nintendo would have gotten rights for the series just to make even lazier movie cash in games than what we got :P
Also, seems like part of the reasons why that didn't happen was that other companies with offers could extend it to movies and stuff and that Nintendo went with more Japanese artstyle than pushing the britishness

This was before the movies even released they tried to get the video game license in 1998.
Which was three years before the movies and the first licensed games.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureWasn't there already a Wii game with Harry Potter and it was bad?
Yeah EA made all of the movie based games.
I did like the Lego games though.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureFood for thought: What if to respect JK's wishes, Nintendo let Rare get involved in the development and we never had to see them go off to Microsoft. We could have had Banjo and a bunch of Wizards as Smash Bros characters.

Some of Nintendo's concept art is in the article. From the sounds of it, J.K. Rowling wanted to keep the property as British-made as possible, while Nintendo was intent on Japanese development, so it wasn't going to work.
