'' The land of rising sun was once ruled by a singly Shogun. This mighty man once unified all of Japan under one kingdom and once kept the peace. For a time, it was a beautiful era of tranquility, respect, and comradeship as the time of wars and hardships had finally ceased. But then, when the Shogun died, 20 years of war broke out. When it finally died down, the land was divided into various territories, held by various Daimyo that now hold the power. With the balance of power in a constant flux.

But then, one day, the Daimyo of Ezo Territory saw his power threatened. Enemies were on all sides. And he knew they were coming. As he went to an ancient temple, once a sacred place for his ancestors. He got on his knees and put his hands together and prayed.

"Ancient Spirits, hear my cry! Grant me the power to slay my enemies!"

His prayers were answered when he heard a voice whisper into his ear, "If you want my help, then come and take it." A hand from the shadows appeared before him. He was about to take it, "There is a price: your soul."

On that day, a man had died and born in his place, a Monster.

His armies have not only concurred the territories around him under his name, but now his armies have begun to spread across the land. ''

Or at least, that's how the rumors go. What do you know? But whether this is or is not your concern, you are in Mikawa Territory. For whatever reason, you're here and you just want to live your life.

But your life is about to go down a much different path then you thought.

Okay. To make this is easy as possible: you're a person in the world of Usagi Yojimbo. The RP will start in the territory mentioned in a nice little town and things will pick up from there with various events happening from time to time. There's not so much as an overarching plot as there are little smaller adventures as our adventures travel to fulfill their own goals whatever they may be.

Standard RP rules apply. Anyone can die.

Magic does exist, but don't do anything like causing meteors to fall or anything gamebreaking. Also, since this is Edo Period Era, gunpowder isn't common, but has been discovered and oldschool guns are available.

If there are any questions or little adventures you think would be fun, lemme hear them.

Since this is a Usagi Yojimbo inspired RP, this is a World of Funny Animals. Hence, here's a list of races with their own natural abilities.

Bat: Bats are nocturnal creatures that have evolved to living in darkness, making the species more well known for the Batto Ninja Clan, as unfortunate as it may be. However, not all Bats align themselves with the clan and some have lived long lives outside of combat. Bats have a natural radar sense. They can also fly, but they're not birds: they cannot fly for long or very far, but they usually don't need to. Due to their nocturnal nature, they have terrible sight while during the day.

Bear: Despite their big, brutish appearance, Bears are usually much more calm then how they appear. But you shouldn't try to put them in a cage, because with their size, their natural strength is very staggering. Not to mention that when a Bear is pushed to the point where death is in sight, they can tap into their inner anger and be virtually unstoppable killing machines-at least, for as long as their adrenaline pumps them. For the sake of the RP, Pandas count as Bears.

Bull: You know the stereotypical Bull. Their big and their strong. Bulls naturally have a short temper. It doesn't take a lot to start a fight with a bull, but it takes a lot to end one. Bulls are well known for their natural charging ability. Which, if you know the legend, is a fatal blow if connected.

Cat: Cats tend to be very calm, aloof, and somewhat snooty, usually with large amounts of pride on their backs. You know the story of Cats landing on their feet? It's partially true, as Cats are naturally very acrobatic creatures, stealthy, and great climbers. Cats also really do have 'Nine Lives', when after dying any way other then of a natural death, they will resurrect.

Dog: Natural followers rather then leaders, Dogs can be either your best and most loyal friend. But they can also be very cruel, cowardly, and even brutal. A Dog's defining ability is that their sense of smell enables them to track and follow scents, making them the popular choice for bounty hunters.

Fox: The natural cousin to Dogs, Foxes are well known for their sneaky nature. And they are! They're sneaky, clever people who can talk their way out of trouble faster then they can get themselves into it. Foxes tend to be very secluded and loyal to very few. But Foxes are very close to their own kind and many of them tend to know many secrets.

Mole: Very careful by nature, but once they start something, they're determined to finish it. Moles are well known for their abilities to tunnel through the Earth. Because of this, they've grown a strong nocturnal ability. However, there is a downfall to this: any bright light can be excruciatingly painful for their sensitive eyes. Unlike Bats who try to avoid being in the sun, they try to avoid bright lights of any kind.

Pig: The Pigs are well known for being incredibly stubborn by nature. Whether this is a stereotype, or an unavoidable nature, is up in the air. However, although not as big as Bears, Bulls, or Rhinos, Pigs are very strong in their own right. Pigs also have a strong sense of smell. But unlike the Dogs who use their noses to track lingering scents, Pigs can smell things in their vicinity to tell them what is going on around them at the present time, making it difficult to sneak up on them.

Remember: A Dog smells the past and ground, a Pig smells the air and present. A Pig will tell you if someone is coming. A Dog will tell you who's been here.

Rabbit: Rabbits are a dime a dozen and are very common. Despite what one might think, a Rabbit's best defining trait isn't, by nature, their ears-no matter how big they are. It's actually their magnificent leaping ability. Depending on how strong a Rabbit is, they can leap great distances in a single bound. Those legs make it very good for running as well.

Rhino: Both physically and mentally, a Rhino is a juggernaut; once they start, it's hard to get them to stop. And that's literal: a Rhino's hide is very tough and durable, and because of that, they can keep going through almost any kind of harm, like some sort of natural tank. They're big, their strong, and when you're on their bad side, you have just made an enemy for life.

Serpent: Serpents. Just like the Foxes, they are smooth talking and cunning-but unlike the Foxes, people are more likely to listen to or good looking fox and not a 'snake in the grass'. Snakes are very cold blooded and tend to look at things with a more calculative perspective. Snakes are very quick and fast reflexes. Sadly, Snakes are unable to use any kind of two handed weapon, such as a bow or rifle. They can carry and use other things, though.

Other: You're not limited to the choices above, but if you do go this route, be sure to list some things about them-such as natural abilities, what is commonly known about them, and such.
