Inspired by, obviously, the Usagi Yojimbo comics to form a Medieval Japan Fantasy.
Not fully sure on the plot, but the basic idea is this: a Daimyo has found a Sealed Evil in a Can and is using this to take over other Daimyo's territories. Many have fallen and this one Daimyo's Territory, where all the characters start at, is the current target and is attacked now. And now your character is, for the most part, just traveling. Either to fight this corrupted tyrant themselves or to find somewhere peaceful to settle down and just avoid fighting altogether with various smaller adventures and side quests popping up.
May or may not include Funny Animals.
