Well, the exact direction in which you could be pointed depends on what exactly you want from the beta-reader.
If you want nothing more than the basic check (grammar, orthography, and plot consistency within the story) then anyone can do for as long as they can do that.
But if you want a bit more, that is, if you want the beta-reader to check if the story and the details stay consistent with those in the original work, then you need someone well-versed in that and thus the suggestion will have to be made based on that.
And likewise, if you want the beta-reader to serve as an editor to you, not only checking for mistakes in the text and fixing those, but also making suggestions to make the story and the writing itself better, then you want someone with more time and with quite some skill in the areas you are weak in.
So, the question is, what exactly do you need?
I do presume it is the second or the third, but that means the specific fandom might happen to matter, so I can't really give you a direction right now that would be guaranteed to help you.

It's for the MCU, which is a pretty large fandom fortunately which means there'd likely be a greater amount of people who could fufill the second/third thing.
I'd love to help. MCU is just about the only thing I'm into anymore. I'm surprised how little MCU is talked about here. Unless I'm missing the good threads...
I've been working on a multi-chapter fan fiction and I'd like for another pair of eyes to look it over before I post it. I've had trouble finding betas who'll give constructive criticism for fics, especially for specific (but not particularly small) fandoms.
Could anyone point me in the direction of some resources that could help?
