This might be just me, but i feel like this trope somehow turned from "Something that will change the plot forever" to "Any kind of plot development".

Example: One Piece. Out of the last arc (that currently spawns from 700 to 774), *26* chapters are listed as wham episodes. That's a wham episode every 3 episodes. I dont think the plot of the manga changed forever 26 times in one arc. (Spoiler: It didnt). Out of all of these examples, i'd argue 2 or 3 are true whams. The rest are just plot developments.

This happens to a lot of other Wham Episode pages.

This "new era" they talk about is a load of shit. The age where pirates dream is over!? THE DREAMS OF MEN NEVER END! AM I RIGHT? -Big Bad

While that entry is most definitively misused and needs pruning, we'll need more than one example of misuse to make a repair topic on a trope with so many wicks and inbounds.
