Sandwich Summoner
"As much as I'd love to be carried around with Brown in a car, something tells me i'm not going to do much sightseeing. I'll go in the truck." Mei Kang replied, a somber expression in her face after the quarrel with the bloodthirsty underling.
Truck
Mei Kang did her best to not be seen in the back of the truck, even slowing her breath as she did so. Clearly this wasn't the first time she had tried to stow away in a vehicle. She looked at James, making some sign with her head, asking what was happening without making a sound.
Truck
James and Mei could see an Italian soldier, armed with a pistol get out of the car and approach the driver door of the truck.
"What do we have here?" the soldier asked Pierre in Italian.
Mafia Car
"Damn. This is not going well. I can feel it." Brown murmured in the car. Corrado just put his hand on his gun cautiously, eyeing the tied up soldier in the back.
"I'll be in the mob car." Spades wanted to keep an eye on the mobsters.
Mob Car
In response to Brown's worries, Spades kept his sidearm hidden, but in his hand and at the ready.

James grimaced when he noticed the blackshirt approaching the driver's side of the truck. Apparently they had come across a patrol or a roadblock. Turning back, James noticed that Mei was making gestures with her hands. He didn't recognize them, but James figured he understood what she was asking about.
He lifted up one finger and formed a gun shape with his other hand. James then pointed towards the front, where the driver's side of the truck was. He looked at Mei to check if she understood and started to open his toolkit gingerly in order to retrieve a wrench.
"Hello," Pierre said to the Blackshirt, in Italian. "Nothing much. Was just heading back from a delivery. How are you doing?
Truck
"Oh." the Italian said, seemingly convinced. But then he frowned a bit and pointed to the car.
"What's with that car then? Seems too nice for us." the soldier asked Pierre suspiciously.
"It is now," Pierre replied to the Blackshirt. "Confiscated" he added, using air-quotes and one false laugh.
"Haha! I see what you mean friend." the soldier responded with equally enthusiastic Italian.
"Well, I suppose you're free to go now." he said and headed back to the patrol vehicle and sped off.

Corrado sighed a relieved breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding and the group resumed their journey to the mob hideout after the temporary setback.
Later - In Assisi
Corrado and Vito ended up leading the group to a large, fancy looking restaurant. Despite the late hour, the restaurant seemed packed.
"Be careful here now. I'll talk to the don while you all mingle." Mississippi warned before stepping foot inside the restaurant. Inside was quite regal and its design hearkened back to the Roman days of glory with elegant paintings and Corinthian columns. Mobsters of all kinds were standing guard, playing pool, gambling in card games, discussing the war, and doing a variety of less than legal things. This restaurant, acting as the Mafia's front, could be an excellent source of information, pockets to pick, or allies to acquire.
James looked around the restaurant, admiring the decor. At first glance it looked like the restaurant had been decorated with quite some taste. James wondered if that was the don's hand at play.
Noticing a free table, he settled down. James wondered if the restaurant's kitchen was still open? he had not eaten much of anything since his arrival and he figured he could maybe actually get a proper meal now.
Apologies for my lateness. I was busy for a while and didn't have much opportunity to write a post. Is the game still active? Both threads have been inactive for a few days.
"I'll hide in the truck. I think I should stay out of sight for the moment."
Truck
Once the group got underway, James stashed the knife and the remaining rope in his suitcase before getting into the back of the truck with his equipment.
When the truck stopped because of the patrol car, James cautiously peeked out from the back of the truck into the darkness outside, looking out for trouble.
