Our hero is such a kingdomist. Don't burn Hugh to death because he's made of spores. Burn him to death because he's evil, regardless of whether he's animal, fungus, or a goshdarn protist.
And not because he's a member of the band Gorillaz. He's a evil spore carrier that wants to take over the world.
So I guess Wednesday will be the true beginning to Atomic Robo and the Spectre of Tomorrow? I forget how long this prologue was supposed to be.
So when are we going to have Elon Musk coming over for coffee and awkwardly explaining to Robo he's sorry about cribbing his Dad's name without asking?
"You can reply to this Message!"Wait, wasn't Tesladyne absorbed into ULTRA? Or was this Tesladyne Institute established in an earlier story that took place much later than 2017?
Also, the cover: "Nanomachines, son!"

ULTRA is in a shitload of trouble past Biomega so its probably defunct. Quote "Sources say the repeal of the SECURE act seems inevitable" which would probably mean Robo got the remains of Tesladyne back. The Tesladyne Institute is sort of the Successor Entity to Tesladyne Industries, what Robo wanted to do in the Ring of Fire epilogue.

"You can reply to this Message!"It's in the process of being reestablished, since ULTRA got Hauled Before A Senate Subcommittee and possibly dismantled after botching the Biomega stuff.

Oh, really? Must've been forever since I read The Ring of Fire, but I was under the impression that Robo would have to go through a lot more to get Tesladyne back from ULTRA. Wasn't there a bit in the epilogue that said Robo was still on the lam?
Then again, maybe saving the entire planet from a crapload of freaking kaiju without getting anyone hurt or causing any valuable property damage is so much of a save, that the general public would riot if they found out the wisecracking robot who saved them was still getting pegged as a criminal.
Lang has all the shit to deal with.
"You can reply to this Message!"Literally.
Team Robo continues to be in tatters as Foley approaches the room of the cooped-up Robo.
Ooh, there's going to be some big reveal, isn't there? Like maybe Robo turns out to have passed out for some time or something?
The suspense is kind of killing me over here.
Suspense buuiilding.
"You can reply to this Message!"New page:
It's kind of like that Pixar short Geri's Game, but with robots.

If they're smart enough to cheat, the project's probably going pretty well.
....I bet Robo 'borrowing' that Fuel Truck is gonna bite him in his shiny metal ass now.
"You can reply to this Message!"Nah for Adventure Industrialists that's a cup of sugar. He just needs to ask next time.
To be fair, he's also a lawyer. I assume he's doing the lion's share of actual legal stuff to get this show running.
Soooo...not unexpected?

"You can reply to this Message!"
Say good bye to Hugh, everyone.
