Or delete this thread and change the name of the Rock Band 3 thread to Rock Band series (Harmonix). Either one will do.
Beat me to it. It's been years since Rock Band DLC was released. They're trying to whet appetites folks.
The songs look pretty cool/fun. Picking them up when I get the chance.
On my wave, passing oooooooonI hope this does well, music games are always a guilty pleasure of mine. Plus, if it does well enough, it might get the relevant people interested in a new DJ Hero.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!YESSSSSSSSSS
My favorite genre! It's nice to see a return! ...even if I don't own any console it's coming for. Oh well...
I heard all the old songs will import too. That right there is deal-breaker for me (I think I bought nearly 1000 songs back in the heyday).
Totally gonna pre-order.
Unfortunately, it appears that due to their "back to basics" approach, they have removed the Keys and Pro Guitar Bass parts in the next game. Kind of a shame, especially since Keys had some great songs over the years.

So, anyone want to make some requests?
Legacy by The Gone Jackals.
La Villa Strangiato by Rush. It has to be in there somehow.
"Black Betty" by Ram Jam (or their version, anyway) and "Paradise City" by Guns n' Roses. Other than that I don't care too much or I know rights are foggy.
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.I was actually going to request Paradise City as well! Also, listened to Black Betty earlier today. Are you me?
I understand that they're going for a "back to basics" approach, but even so, I'm still rather disappointed that they're removing Keys and Pro Guitar parts. This means they'll have to work extra hard to ensure the stuff that's left is great enough to make up for the missing parts.
I'd be happy if they'd just kept keys (HMX themselves helped develop BandFuse; they probably wanted to pass the whole "learn a real instrument" buck off to someone more focused on it).
Taking out a whole instrument seems like such a step backward. And what happens if they then reintroduce keys later and we have to buy "RB4" versions of songs from the setlist? Just like that Queen pack with all the key-ready songs that we already had.
For their sake, I hope the setlist has practically nothing but metal, hard rock and punk songs, because every other genre uses keys liberally (and even those 3 can have keys buried someone in the mix). Any instance of keys existing in the track without keys being playable is a Missed Moment of Awesome.

It's not a big deal to me.
I don't mind the lack of pro instruments, but getting rid of keys seems like a big step down . Of all the GH/RB games, ONLY RB 3 had keys...

So Mad Catz is co-developing.
Eh it just seems they're making the controllers again, like they did for everything after Rock Band 2 I'm pretty sure.
Eh, I never liked Rock Band controllers because the strum bar is all squishy instead if the clicky Guitar Hero one, so if I get this if try to find a cheap PS 3/360 GH guitar or something I dunno.
The Rock Band 3 forum thread is a little deceptive since it seems Rock Band 4 is coming with Harmonix\'s survey, and rather than start a Rock Band 4 thread, may as well have an all-encompassing thread to discuss Rock Band 4 and other related games.
