I was thinking more along the lines of Scenery Porn but that too.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I'll get mine Saturday morning (waking up early to get to the store as soon as it opens).
Unfortunately I won't be able to get the special editionnote , however I got a gift card for my birthday I still haven't used so I only have to pay for some of it.

I ordered the SE from Amazon with day 1 shipping. Says it'll be here Monday >.>.
Live your life.WHY IS IT STILL WEDNESDAY.
/huff huff
...So, anyone have any goals they want to work towards? Because one of mine is to have everyone fighting in business attire. I know I saw pencil skirts and heels as options, so surely there are suits too.
i. hear. a. sound.I'm gonna punch everything punchable.
It's the only goal worth pursuing.
And since I made the mistake of skipping out on the first game, I may or may not ask someone if they are really feeling it after I kick their ass.
One Strip! One Strip!I am going to shoot for 100% Completion.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I'm probably just going to go for a high completion % and go for perfect later.
...Unless the game lets you play past the ending.
I want to keep as many people alive as possible. I understand that keeping NP Cs alive during certain quests is actually really tough in places, and I'd like to see to it that most survive.
There's post-game content. Heck, the "critical path" is really only half the story. XCX is about humanity surviving on Mira after all, and existential threats are only half of survival.
I honestly have no idea where I sit in the preordering section.
Did I preorder special edition, or not? Did I preorder it at all? I have such a terrible memory for this stuff, I should probably keep a list of all this stuff.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.my copy was just dispatched.
unfortunately, its still saying i'll receive it on saturday the 5th.

I just uninstalled Metroid Prime trilogy to free up space for the data packs. I ended up with about 10.5 GB free.
I initially just selected the Basic and Enemy pack, however I'm unsure if they'll take up 5 or 9 GB. Depending on how much I'll be able to get the Player and maybe the Skell pack downloaded tomorrow.
EDIT: Awesome, only took up 5GB (although I was unable to find the files in the data management section, you may be unable to delete them without owning a physical copy of the game).
I'll install the other 2 tomorrow, although I may have to get rid of a little bit more data temporarily to allow for the initial larger space needed to download it.

My goal with the game is to buy it and give Nintendo money because apparently people are boycotting it over fanservicey, body-hugging armor being censored into practical armor that's something a girl would wear into combat.
The Protomen enhanced my life. And it's really only being applied to two sets of armor when worn by one character.
Of course, people will boycott anything for any reason so yeah. Those people weren't going to get the game in the first place.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!wasnt it one piece of armor, that was essentially a micro bikini on an underage character, replaced with a slightly more covered swimsuit only for her?
i mean, im not happy about getting different stuff from the japanese, i really wish localizers would stop fucking messing with shit
but really? a boycott over that?
...
oh well. Que sera, sera.
The majority of localization changes are for the better across most forms of media. To use a relevant example, Xenoblade Chronicles' Kyoshin and Kishin. Oh wait, I mean the Bionis and Mechonis, because "Giant God" and "Fierce God" have no meaning in English and are not evocative of anything.
That's localization. The "boycott" is from 4chan neckbeards throwing a fit over the censoring of Lynn's (a 13-15 year old girl) undergarments and the removal of the bust slider. And while the latter is a more legitimate issue in that it is the straight up removal of content and enforces a single body image on females, there isn't a corresponding option for males; and considering Japan's issues with sexism, it isn't unreasonable to say that the bust slider was intended for fanservice first and self-portrayal second, if at all.
In other words, Saints Row still has the best character creator, period.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/Theythats not what i meant.
i meant the people working on getting the game from japan to america or europe who decide to edit things beside the translation. think more along the lines of persona 1, with the various race changes and edited sprites, massacred soundtrack and removal of the snow queen quest, rather than actual localization to make the game accessible for people who want to play it but cant understand the language its originally in.
you know, most recent nonsensical edit between regions ive seen was with bravely second where a tomahawk styled(?) outfit was replaced with a cowboy outfit. as one person phrased it "Replace Native American imagery with that of the culture who slaughtered them"
idgi
why the arbitrary changes?

FUCKING FINALLY got my item has shipped confirmation. Just in time for me to procrastinate on my Finals studying, too!
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyOh, I wasn't even referring to anything about XCX in particular, just the statement that "localization is bad".
Out of curiosity, do you think that the character creator was supposed to allow for self-portrayal? Because I'm of the opinion all but convinced that it's all fanservice. A plurality of the customization options are references to previous Xeno games, there are dozens of hair tip colors, eye colors, tattoos no sane person would ever have, and so on. It's most like the Avatar builder in Fire Emblem awakening. You aren't meant to make yourself, just put your stamp on a character.
Because they figured that a game set in a Japanese highschool dealing with Japanese social anxieties swimming in 90s Japanese culture wouldn't sell in 90s America. And they were absolutely right, Japanese culture was still a hard sell. Their attempts to fix the "problem" failed to sell and furthermore went over like a ton of bricks. As for pulling out the Snow Queen, late 90s Atlus USA was not a good company.
BD's changes are a reaction to Native Americans asking that other institutions not co-opt their culture via outdated stereotypes. American Indians to cowboys is the obvious change, since it keeps the Western theme. The idea that "cowboys kill indians" likely didn't factor into the equation AT ALL, since the issue at hand was the representation, and not how the change itself would go over. Besides, the US Army killed the indians
Localization is very rarely arbitrary, but it can seem so if you don't pay attention or simply don't care. It's hard even in the best of times.
ANYWAY enough off-topic stuff. What are you doing to celebrate launch day? I'm having pizza.
EDIT: Augh, lucky, still waiting on mine.

I'm gonna watch Ghost in the Shell, that way I have a clear image of Major Kusanagi when creating Cross. And then I'm going to play Ghost in the Skell.

i. hear. a. sound.Well, turns out I need NINE GB free in order to download the Player Data pack, despite only taking up about 3GB once downloaded...
Well, looks like Pikmin 3's going.
thats because its going to need to space to install, not just to download.
Copy finally shipped. THANKS AMAZON you said it was shipping the 2nd.
Still a non-zero chance it'll arrive today, I'm within a 2hr zone.
I'll have mine Friday as I mentioned, but won't touch it until Christmas, so you guys will all be ahead of me I guess.
Gonna be an interesting time, but at least I can finally catch up on Monster Hunter and Hyrule Warriors soon enough.
One Strip! One Strip!
