We already know they're bringing Fe to Switch.
Well, yeah, but I was wondering if we'd get info on the game then.
Oh God! Natural light!I'm thinking that we will get some information about the new Fire Emblem (Or at least a teaser) as well as some more information on Kirby Star Allies.
I don't think they'll announce any information about the Pokemon switch game this early. I'm thinking saving up the announcement for the end of next year, maybe make it at E3 2018, but even that seems like a way too early timeframe to me (But what do I know? They could always use it for a teaser).

The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Eh, if they end up releasing it in November like they have the past couple of games, I can see them announcing it early in the year - that's generally been the pattern they've stuck too.
Of course, the transfer to the Switch might merit a change in that.
Oh God! Natural light!I think Fire Emblem will be shown at E3.
Mileena MadnessYeah, Pokemon will be announced around May-ish, or sometime before E3, like usual.

Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*Pokemon XY, SM, and BW 2 were all announced around January/February.
Oh yeah... they were. Didn't know that for B2W2, that was before i got into the series.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*A rumor's suggesting they're trying to make the next Pokemon games as "disruptive" as Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey, and if that happens I doubt they'll make the projected 2018 release date.
If they don't, we probably won't hear anything about it next year. The Pokemon Company doesn't typically reveal things years in advance - the only reason we know about a Switch Pokemon game coming was the backlash from the Pokken DX/USUM Direct.
Wasn't the Switch Pokemon game confirmed during the E3 presentation?

Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*It was, but it was nothing more than a promise of something coming with a tentative 2018 release date, and a lot of people wager said promise was only made at all because of the backlash from the aforementioned underwhelming direct.
I doubt it will take until E3 to get Fire Emblem information. From the Direct last year in January, they had Fire Emblem for the Switch be a tentative date of 2018. I would think they would market it at least earlier in the year if it will still be a 2018 release date and E3 is really starting things late.
Intelligent Systems has been working on this Switch game since 2015 after Fates was released in Japan. So V was the only brief break as that was just something to put out there that wasn't too intensive on them.
That also begs the question - how long have they been working on this Pokémon game?
Oh God! Natural light!God, that Pokemon Direct. I always felt people were WAY too hyped cuz they believed a rumor.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*Yeah. Maybe the content of that would have been underwhelming on its own, but people allowed that rumor to go to their heads.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI still don't get why people thought there was going to be a mainline game announced for the Switch at that direct. It was occurring a few weeks before E3 and they had no real reason to reveal something that big when there was an event that would get way more focus coming up soon.
Nintendo probably wanted to focus on Switch games at the main E3 presentation and asked The Pokemon Company to have the USUM announcement before then. Remember, we didn't get the Samus Returns announcement until a couple of minutes after the E3 presentation.
And going off Pokemon, I think people need to go and watch some of the upscaled videos of Sun and Moon and USUM with emulators. The models look amazing when upscaled. The textures and some animations...not so much.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Well, the thing is we don't know how many other games are coming to the Switch besides a new Metroid and Pokemon. I would think if they don't have much ready for the Switch in terms of new games you wait until a good time to reveal that information. I mean I'm expecting a teaser for FE at the most.

Mileena MadnessI don't see how that leads to the conclusion it will take until E3 to get any information. There's even rumors of a Direct being in January. Fire Emblem Fates and Fire Emblem Echoes were both revealed in January Directs (2015 for Fates and 2017 in the Fire Emblem Direct earlier this year).

Clearly, whatever EA's planning, it's coming to Switch.
