Both 1.1 and 2.2 work well. No text needed.
Check out my fanfiction!Something to Tide you over was exactly what I was thinking for this.
2.2, but it is missing the "drown when the tide comes in" bit of information, which seems important. Can the caption be about that?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
I like that image, with a caption like "Waiting for the rising tide" or some such.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe crab does add a bit of danger. Even if it's just comical in that case.

"Yay! Someone planted my dinner!"
Bump; anyone else for 2.2/5?

I like 5 the best.
Clock is set.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman2.2/5 has my vote.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes. The "drown when the tide comes in" isn't a systematic part of the trope; most often than not, the examples happen in the desert, so a picture need not show that.
I think 5 is good.
Absent-minded professor and Neverwinter Nights DMAw, it's too late to suggest another picture?
I joined the police just to kill people.I don't think it's too late until the topic is locked. A new picture will just need to be better than the leading suggestion to change people's minds is all
The clock is way overdue on this one. 2.2/5 has just enough consensus, so it's up, potholed, and tagged; the caption repair thread can handle any further discussion for this page. Locking up.
This trope was recently split from Buried Alive, so let's start with the suggestions to illustrate it.
I'll begin with one from a page I started myself (Sur la piste du Marsupilami), just because it needs the exposure: [1]◊
