Bae Blades - Spiritech Academy General Chatboard

The main discussion thread for our Bae Blades RP.

So, I know what kind of missions in outer space will be doing, but I realized that because a lot of our characters are in different years, I'm not sure how to keep them partnered up for missions and such. Any suggestions?

Partner programs? Older year students are there to be guides to younger years, Age and Experience teaching a new generation!

Definitely mentorship programs, yeah.

Just a heads up guys, Saturn's been having some pretty nasty computer trouble; not sure when she's gonna be back online.

I like the mentorship idea, but I think another thing we could do is missions that are explicitly for teaching all years something, with the specific lesson depending on the year, so that not everyone has quite the same experience.

Both and sound interesting ideas to me.

Another option could be that characters are paired together differently at the start of each year to encourage networking and social diversification, which would explain why a first-year could get paired with a second-year. Not sure if it should be randomized, and whether or not partnerships should stay within their house.

I like Taco's idea. Could be fun.

That's fine. I'd be surprised if they hadn't tried to fight each other over the last 2 years of schooling. They're probably rivals. XD

Sorry I didn't do anything yesterday. I was at the DMV for most of the day.

A question for Saturn/Taco: how exactly does the manifestation work? I'm under the impression that the Bae "moves" in relation to the user. So if the user is standing still, the Bae's range is a constant sphere around them. If the user is moving, and the Bae would otherwise be standing still, then the Bae is moving at that speed.

Or is it a "move out of range = dematerialization, to be "re-summoned" later" deal?

Hopefully my either way my in-game post isn't horribly unworkable.

Where do we go from here? I want to bump the RP thread by posting an RP action but I don't really know what Elisia'd do in the airlock, nor would I know how many people are already there/flying/still in the ship etc.

Seems so. Bryan and Reave are trying to get it open, slight panic so the solution may be mundane.

A strong answer would require an answer to my question above (post#18), but probably. Both Daniel and Carmelita were accelerated to high speed, and shot though to...closed doors apparently.

Darn. I planning to act after either a) everyone had left, as I didn't want anyone to be stranded, or b) the room depressurized completely.

From the looks of it, they are stuck outside for the moment. We could all change up our posts to fix that.
