Save Trope Pages

I apologize in advance if this idea has already been implemented and I am just ignorant, or if someone else has suggested it and I am just too lazy to read the 1600 threads.

I recently downloaded the TV Tropes app, and was scrolling through the endings page, adding things to read later, when it occurred to me that instead of only being able to save pages to read later and favourites, you should be able to make lists of tropes; maybe you're working on a story and want to save the ones you think would fit in, so you create a group of tropes called "Story", but you also just want to save unrelated funny ones too, so you create a group called "lol". This would allow for more organization than just the favourites group alone.

To be clear, I am suggesting this as a possible feature for both browser and mobile versions of this wiki.

While it is true that browsers do have a favourites function with folder support, I believe this should be something TV Tropes should work on in their upcoming development.

Thank you.

You can use your user page to save anything you want, including lists of 'favorite' tropes, but the idea of a mechanism to explicitly flag them sounds intriguing.

You want the ability to subdivide your watchlist?

Is this something that could be done?

(Okay yeah I'm bumping it up, sorry)

Have you noticed that we're running a site redesign Kickstarter? It's right up there in the header. Part of this process is collecting all the wishlist items, deciding which ones we'll attempt, prioritizing them, and then eventually delivering them. Don't expect immediate responses to anything posted here.

Sorry, I just thought that the only posts were asking for clarification, and wasn't really sure if it was being considered.

(Even though I know that was sarcasm, yes I DO know there is a kickstarter tongue)

As this is about an app and there is no officially supported apps, this item should be closed.

The OP explicitly stated "I am suggesting this as a possible feature for both browser and mobile versions of this wiki," and agreed when another user clarified that they were essentially asking for "the ability to subdivide your watchlist". This isn't necessarily app-related.

Personally I'm thinking of it by analogy to Amazon wishlists. i.e., you can create various wishlists, title them whatever you want, and maintain them independently of each other. I personally have a wishlist for movies/TV shows, one for video games/systems, one for books, one for expensive items that are not likely to be impulse buys, and one for general items that don't fit anywhere else.

OP is asking for something similar here. Either a subdividable watchlist or the ability to independently maintain multiple watchlists.

This sounds like something that should be added to Query Wishlist, making sure to carefully specify the intent and parameters of the proposal. Closing the topic.
