I still don't know who had the more impressive jailbreak in a James Gunn film: Harley Quinn or Yondu Udonta?
Harley:
Yondu:
I think that Harley's gets a few points up on Yondu's because she's a one-woman army, and we get to see her pull out a variety to her kills: guns, knives, and the javelin, compared to Yondu just using his arrow. Harley also was doing this all by herself while Yondu had Baby Groot and Rocket.
The cold never bothered me anywayBut the arrow thing is incredibly cool. Thus, Yondu wins.
The Final NameI love how gorgeously choreographed Yondu's scene is, but it also struck me as a bit... OP. Like, protagonists in films like that are always OP (I mean, Harley's there gunning down an entire platoon), but a lot of making these films is obscuring how OP they are even as they're doing amazing things so that it feels like they're still in danger.
Yondu's arrow is like that bit in the Sonic movie (or, hell, the X-Men films) where superspeed makes the character moves so fast everyone else is frozen. It's dope to look at, but for the rest of the movie you're wondering why this guy doesn't just take care of every threat they've ever faced instantaneously.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Probably why he died. I doubt Kraglin uses the fin with as much finesse.
Interesting to note that Harley's battle there is the only character with a very extended sequence to themselves.
By contrast the other action encounters are shorter with the closest being the rebel camp massacre near the start of the movie. Later on instances of Bloodsport and Peacemaker's assaults tend to be quicker, with them quickly killing any enemies in a less drawn out fashion.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."At least in Yondu's case he goes from plowing through a bunch of pirates right to fighting an entire planet, so that's a good way to keep him from being seen as OP.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonHarley's also pretty slick, but I think Yondu's sequence is a lot cooler. Yondu's singing arrow is just a lot more creative in methodology. In any case I think they are the best action scenes of their respective films.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Harley has the Armour of Plot Protection, shame Yondu couldn't have had something similar.
New theme music also a boxI just find it so hilarious that WB apparently has a mandate that their action figures shouldn't have guns so we have Peacemaker and Bloodsport figures that have swords instead of pistols.
Less on topic, but we also have a Jason Todd Red Hood figure with only a crowbar.
It's just... funny.

I think Starro went down far too easily, honestly.
