I don't have access, either.
Granted, I also lack an internet reliable enough to play it mostly, so you know, no big loss.
And with regards to mains: You won't want to main a single character- they're too limited in scope. But maining a certain team role, such as healer or turret-meister or WALKING SLAB OF SHIELD-MEAT is possible.
And of course, learn Mei and Symmetra. Especially Mei, who has debates raging over how hilariously OP she is.
I don't think maining a role would help that much either. Sometimes the team comp is what it is and you'll need to fill a hole.
You know I think I'm gonna skip this one. It looks like it's online only and I hate that.
I really do like Tracer though. Too bad.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!Fair enough. Though if you pick up a group of reliable teammates you play with on a regular basis then you can start specializing.
x4 Eh? Characters may be the same role but that doesn't mean they are anywhere close to being the same anything.
Reinhardt is the only real stand there and meatshield tank for instance his real weakness is Tracer, Winston another other tank is real charge in and cause havoc type tank and just murders Tracer. I don't even know what to call D.va aside from she is the extremely mobile and tactical 'oh god kill her before she explodes' tank.
Some supports don't even have heals for instance while say Mercy is all about them heals or channeling the damage buff.
x2 there are bots but they be dumb as all hell, it is very much just a multiplayer game.

I don't care if they are dumb. I just want to play the game without using up all my family's bandwidth.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!Let me clarify. I meant that he will probably be one of the characters I prefer amongst the....22 heroes? But I certainly will try to play all of them to a certain degree even knowing that some like Bastion would be pretty boring to me or others would be stressful to me like Mercy (I have way to much bad memories of playing Medic on bad teams in Team Fortress 2).
I am very well that maining won't be viable all things considered (I have seen plenty of evidence of that). Doesn't mean I can't have preferences.

Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Honestly, after the last week of Heroes of the Storm, I've lost interest in Overwatch. I don't want to spend $40 for the privilege of being screamed out by assholes for everything. Especially not follwing the Holy Meta to the letter—"IDIOT U LOST TEH GAME DONT PLAY MERCY V REINHERT SWITCH ____ DUMFUCK".
Because yeah, the MOBA-like FPS will have a fucking meta that must be obeyed.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984I'm not as worried about such meta, mostly because I've almost never experienced it in Team Fortress 2. Of course, who knows how seriously people will end up taking this game.
Understood on how it's good to mix things up and not 'main' anybody, though I do admit a fondness for Mc Cree and Zenyatta. Though I tend to play what looks needed in TF2. Might be a bit harder here with so many characters. Apparently you have to think more countering the enemy team instead of rounding out your team.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.I dunno, it looks like the devs are keeping a pretty close eye on balance. There seems to be an agreement that, say, Widowmaker and Mei are OP while Torbjorn is a total Skill Gate Character, but they seem to have a good grasp on what is good for the metagame. No hero is useless or dominant so far.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Yeah I don't see there being too much of a meta like that really. X character will usually have 3 counters or so and those counters are not role based, any of those three will work.
It's really objective based though so there is a meta about not choosing a slow defensive character like reinheart when you gotta try and take a point. Winston however is great for it since you hop into the point and everyone must GTFO or die.
I do hope though that they never actually add a visual K/D for everyone to the game now THAT will really ruin it. Seriously characters like Tracer are more assist characters than killers, they are the distraction while others press forward but are lethal enough that you can't ignore them. K/D will fuck that and that's where you get the elitist crap.

Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Let me just clear the cobwebs here to announce Overwatch releases May 24th!
Also, there's going to be an open beta from May 5th-9th, and you can pre-order for early access on May 3rd-4th.
And my sympathies to anyone here who hasn't gotten in closed beta as of yet. I feel your pain.
aw yissss
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.STAR_'s been doing a series on his second channel showing off each character and talking about their strategies and how their meta's developing. Here's the playlist if you're interested.
It's so nice o see him enjoying himself again, after he was so burned out on TF 2.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.You know, I hope Blizzard uses this the same way that they do Warcraft and Starcraft, considering that the Omnic Crisis is ripe for at least one book about it.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.The first of these— Overwatch's first animated short, Recall— premieres March 21st, exclusively on Xbox.com/Overwatch (and the Xbox YouTube)! Witness firsthand the origin story of the genetically-engineered gorilla scientist, Winston!

I always enjoyed reading up the lores of video games I'm interested in.
Sometimes the closest thing people get are character interactions.
Like in this video
I remember a dev saying that gameplays aren't canon to the story, but... Soldier: 76 already knew who Reaper is. And there's a lot about Pharah's mother, the sniper lady in the Soldier's trailer. What happened to her, I wonder, that made her daughter sound kinda resentful to her...
Not to mention the tiny details each maps have. I think I saw a video of a character looking at vacation phots, Mercy and Torbjorn is in one photo. I wonder what's their relationship with each other? Something platonic and friendship-like, I hope.
I wish there are more videos like this.
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them. It's time, people! Here's "Recall"!
