in particular i think the storytelling could benefit from slowing down a little

i understand that this is HIGH INTENSITY ACTION but it's hard to appreciate with the bad dialogue and breakneck pacing

It's still confusing before you really get the hang of it, being used to reading one direction and then trying to read the other way around.

Okay, sure, but that is not what I was talking about. What I said is that, on paper, Attack On Titan will be less confusing than in the screen. In the digital preview we got, the page order is left to right, while the panel is the opposite. Even if you found the preview displaying from top to bottom, you would have no indication to how the panels are read. In the actual book you will, at very last, notice the pages are "out of order" before even getting to reading the panels.
