He's always respected Bakugou.

He's said he hates him before too. He didn't say anything knew this chapter.

This just reminds me of a conversation I had a couple days ago with a friend of mine reading the new vol 1 book of the manga I just bought where I'd compared Deku & Bakugo's relationship with Naruto & Sasuke. Besides the former two actually being friends in their childhood I didnt notice that Deku flat out admitting to hating Bakugo. Another difference I should notice. These have a pretty good rivalry then, heh.

Kinda rare to see the term Childhood Friend used to describe exactly that.They were friends only at early childhood.

Unless Bakugou still remembers some random promise he made to Deku in the past that he's forgotten.Just like in my japanese Romcoms.And doujins!

My god Bakugo would totally be like Naru abusing Deku. Thats fucking horrifying.

Love Hina. Romcom harem manga that has quite a lot of gratuitous violence towards the male lead by his haremates for any signs of perversions whether real or not (mostly not). Naru's tha main girl & also the most violent one.

And the accuracy of that description is one reason I could never get into it personally.

I'd punch wishy-washy male protagonist too if I could.

Any of them.

Just on principle.

And for the fun.

Plus side, I wouldn't even have to feel too guilty because the guy would be used to taking far more ludicrous punishment.

Well, lets not forget that he's wishy-washy so that it's easier to abuse her.

I say burn them all, but burn him last.

Anyway, if I were Deku, I'd hate Bakugou as well. He definitely deserved those punches from both Him and All Might.

Now to see if he manages to grow a bit more.

Man I didn't realize it until the end but he still had vomit chunks on his face when he yelled at Deku to fire.

To be fair to Love Hina, it was one of the first of its kind. One of the TropeCodifiers of the harem genre. Those obnoxious tropes were original in its time.

Anyway, I expect a flashback next chapter of how they came to working together.

Anyway, more hero stuff.

Wonder how Deku and Kacchan's relationship will go on after this chapter. I hope they don't instantly become friends again, but also not hatred anymore. I still want Kacchan to hang out with his own gang, like Kirishima and Sero.

Speaking of which, I'm surprised Kirishima isn't more popular.

Gradual would be best. I don't see Kacchan changing too quickly.

He'll need to be punched in the face a lot more before he changes all that much.

I look forward to it.

Biggest punch in the face would be Kirishima dying.

Hopefully doesn't happen, but that's one of the easiest ways to change Kacchan's character.

Even if that does help his character its way way waaaay to early to kill of any of the students yet or any heroes in general. We need like 50 more chapters or so with a good amount of screen-time & character development for everyone.

I don't expect any children to get killed off in this series. Certainly not anytime soon. The closest we've had to actual consequences was a minor hand injury for Iida. Oh no!

How bout when Handy-Man almost disintegrated poor Tsuyu's face?
