Ehh, pretty much everyone in the group (even Xue) has enough standards to not go into the deep end of piracy.
I'll be back in a few hours.
Anyone here want to volunteer to roleplay the Fire Nation ship and its crew?
Heh. Hosu will be picking up and carrying everyone in the crew at least once, whether they want him to or not. I just felt like having him start with Shouren cause that seems like the most likely one to end poorly for Hosu.

Click Click Boom Boom...Haven't you learned not to have your characters do that to my characters?
"You can reply to this Message!"What is this learning you speak of?
Click Click Boom Boom....sadly Katsu is, unlike my Twilight Caste Solar, unable to threaten people with ripping out their memories.
"You can reply to this Message!"She'll just have to settle for melting faces off.
Click Click Boom BoomYes...faces. Totally faces.
"You can reply to this Message!"I've been kind of off my game here, sorry about that. I'll try to post tonight.
I don't mind playing the Fire Nation, so long as no one has any objections. Though I'm not entirely sure what they're supposed to be doing or why they're coming after us.
A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent upon arriving. -Lao TzuThe Fire Nation ship is onto us because our crew has stolen Zhu Heiyaoshi from them. And yes, I don't think anyone minds you playing the Fire Nation ship and its crew.
All right. I'll see about putting something together later tonight.
A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent upon arriving. -Lao TzuThere we go. Hope that's good enough for the wait.
Wow, the ship was doing fine until Mizuki sped up the ship. Did she pick up the Idiot Ball or what?
No, she didn't. It's better not to take chances on being stopped. And besides, they had standing orders to search all ships they found until told otherwise, so they'd have gone after them regardless of what she did. At least, that's how I figure it.
A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent upon arriving. -Lao TzuI stand corrected. Mizuki couldn't have known the Fire Nation ship wasn't going to pursue her if she didn't speed up. She made the best choice with the knowledge she had.
Morning..*should probably mention being on a GMT+1 timezone*
"You can reply to this Message!"Now we've hit the limit to the number of players. Tojin will join us soon.
Just saying that I may not be able to post for a few hours. School's a bitch.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertI'm pretty sure an arrow wouldn't go far enough. Generally, on a clear day at sea, from fifty feet up, you can see about eight miles to the horizon. And if the lookout is sharp, they'd have spotted the smoke plume a little before the actual ship showed up. So, presuming we have a stern chase scenario, it'll be a while before they even come within firing range. Sea chases tend to be more drawn out in real life, depending on the ships in question. I was figuring to flash forward a little with my next Fire Nation post. But arrow range for a straight shot, that is, a couple hundred feet at best, is spitting distance for a throwing-engine.
A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent upon arriving. -Lao TzuNot to mention both ships moving in 3 directions at once at the same time :D
(Safehold has thought me an appreciation for how difficult it is to aim something on a sail vessel)
"You can reply to this Message!"I agree with Red Cedar, the ships are still too far away to exchange fire. Mizuki instead wants her crew to be ready.
Sorry, I had assumed we were at most 300 yrds away.

"Gimme your pants.. and now your other pants"Just making it clear that Katsu, Prithvi, and Lanyin are still holding their positions and not at the stern. I'm expecting a firefight soon.
@amporiusrex: You haven't edited your post about Lanyin letting loose the arrow yet.

Katsu might have objections to outright piracy :P Former Fire Navy and so.
By which I mean the realistic kind.
