For anyone still watching the thread, I felt the desperate need to share this. It's a master post for someone's otgw work, telling a very intriguing story. Be sure to click the images to make the bigger and see if they have captions, but some of them are so large the look best when you scroll.
Fair warning, it's feelsy.
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority.Oh I saw one of those comics floating around.
Cool to see the continuation for a given value of cool that allows the definition of 'welp, time to stare into the void.'
Although it reminds me of a tumblr trend I've been thinking on for a while where they love depressing monsterifications of the characters. There were so many bippers floating around that it surprised me to find out that it was only a one-episode thing. And I watched all of OTGW before seeing much tumblr presence for it but geeze, lots of Beast Wirts.
Not judging the practice, just commenting on it.
Anyway, yeah, cool comics. I inexplicably like to see Beatrice and Sara interacting

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI don't get it.
Which part?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWirt gave himself up to keep Greg alive, but trapped him. Sarah got Greg out
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority.Good news! You can read it right now :)
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority.Shouldn't it involve Summerween?
Eh, it could have but I like the story as is.
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority.Sure, we could do another story where the Summerween Trickster teams up with the Beast.
Thanks for linking, Oda. I did "get" it, it seemed fairly self-explanatory, until I read this and now I am confused. What was the point of any of that? How did he get out of the river in the first place when he looked pretty thoroughly impaled? Could everyone see him? I feel retrospectively confused by an epilogue that seems unnecessary.

Wirt's dead. He wanders through his town as a ghost, says his goodbyes, and heads back to the Unknown.
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority.Well... it's not that that doesn't make a kind of sense, but I don't see that it adds anything. Still, I enjoyed the story.

I honestly think OtGW was one the best things Cartoon Network put out in years. Everything about it I found sublime.

has a clue, but it's usually not the correct one 0.55% of the timeSo, I haven't watched this show, but I just found out that the voice of one of the characters ("The Beast") was provided by famous opera singer Samuel Ramey, whom I'm a fan of.
I am now more motivated to watch this series.
Don't know if you're like Over the Garden Wall today? Try it try it and you may! Try it try it try it I say!
Forever liveblogging the Avengersmy friend said a Thing earlier. I may have thrown a pillow at her for it, but being the monster I am I'll share it with you.
every episode contains the sound of a train. Which seems great and quirky and cute until you watch the last two episodes and then, like everything else, it all suddenly makes horrifying sense.
Got a degree in Emotional trauma via fictional characters aka creative writing. hosting S'mores party in Hell for fellow (evil) writersYeah, I had noticed. Along with the opening bit giving away the game the show is really foreshadowy.
Forever liveblogging the Avengerseverything in that show is either forshadowing or an allusion to something. Being and English Major/ Humanities minor while watching with another English major, Humanities minor was fantastic because got to keep going, "oooh, look, look! Dante's inferno! oooh, look, look!"
Got a degree in Emotional trauma via fictional characters aka creative writing. hosting S'mores party in Hell for fellow (evil) writersI saw a very good post about the Dante's Inferno parallels.
Its a very packed show for how short it is.

Dude, that's deep.
