That would be an allergy. What sort of room is it? Concrete actually gives off carbon dioxide, so if the room is concrete-walled as well concrete-floored...don't sleep there. We wear breathing apparatus when we go into underground structures that aren't frequently used for that reason.

'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'Well, I'm just guessing, but the first question that comes to mind is: is the house dusty? That can't be helping your allergies very much, and that might well account for the blocked nose, coughing, and possibly even the headaches.
The second thought that occurred to me is that the shrieking hellion probably isn't helping matters either, but that should be obvious.
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation. It might be dusty. And it might just be Cement. I'm not sure. The room is a utility room with the washing machine and dryer in it. It didn't give me problems before, but before I had a matress under the pallet that I was sleeping on.
Sorry. I'm going on a hiatus, hopefully for only a few days. Probably longer. I think its allergies. At least some of it.If you really have nowhere else to sleep, at least get a camp bed so you're off the floor.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'I think I'll just move it into the living room. I actually prefer the utility room. It used to be my room when I lived down here, and to be honest I kinda like how it feels in there. I'm weird like that. The pallet comes with a bed/chair, but the thing is that the joints in it kinda...give me pains. Well, thanks for the advice. Part of me suspected it was something in that room, I just didn't want it to be true. >< I like that room. Even if its full of junk and doesn't have a TV. Its cozy.

Quick question...anyone know if sleeping improperly can cause your head to feel like its filled with cotton/cement and cause coughing fits? I've been staying at my sister's place and there isn't really a bed for me to lay on. So I've been sleeping on a little pallet thing made of three pillows on a cement floor. Odd thing is, my allergies seem worse when I'm down here, and I seem to get a cough and headaches when I sleep down here. Anyone know if my sleeping arrangements are causing this, or if maybe its cause my niece happens to be at an age where she is at her most spoiled, and loves to shriek like a siren whenever things don't go her way?
