The best thing to do is probably find someone who shares the same fandoms and interests that you do. Even better if it's someone you already know who you can convince to start reading your stuff. I never tried the fanfic.net beta reader thing, but if there's a way to sort by fandom that would probably help.
Only one of my stories gets beta'd, the rest I normally re-read myself before I publish ... not that that stops me from making errors.
That’s the epitome of privilege right there, not considering armed nazis a threat to your life. - SilaswSo I have found an ideal beta-reader. S/He seems to like the kind of story that I like and apparently is good at noticing details, etc.
The problem is, when I read his/her beta-bio page, I see several grammatical errors, typos, etc.
I'm...not sure about this one.

Or a proof-reader, whatever.
So I've been writing fanfics for a while and realized that I make a lot of mistakes in writing that I never recognize until I actually upload chapters and get pointed out by a reader.
As such, I decided to in addition to reading my chapters more thoroughly once, I need a beta-reader, proof-reader, whatever. The problem is, there are a LOT of reigstered beta-readers on Fanfiction.net, and I have no idea which one would work the best for me.
Would I have to look for each and every one of them and their profiles, or is there easier way to go about? Also, would asking for a beta-reader in my uploaded chapters be a workable idea?
