I've taken several geology classes, does that count?
Something of a rockhound here, if nothing else. Anything interesting happening?
Mineralogist Aleksander Recnik's trip to Las Vigas, Mexico. Gah, wish I could live near a site like that. Every geologically interesting site near where I live that used to be open to rock collectors and Geology/Natural Science classes is now under lock and key.
There are some pretty interesting outcrops around my hometown. One of the beaches out near the end of the main road has Triassic seafloor basalts.
You know, for a while I was seriously considering assembling a state mineral/rock/gem collection, but damn it Arkansas, y u be so difficult?

I've got a few from my hometown in Alaska, but I got most of my collection one time when I was in Arizona, a lot of which were never properly identified.
I know there's gotta be more than one of us out there! Let's see who can make the most terrible puns!
